After searching for this deck on the net, then waiting for the postman... I got my Greenwood.
I must say I'm not disappointed (so far). The court cards are animals, other cards also have humans and human (primitive) art on them, as well as objects from nature.
Still I think the deck as a whole is consistent and has a calm feel.
The colours are also beautiful :)
I haven't read with it yet, just drooling over the pictures.
I have been looking for this deck longer than for any other deck I own, it seems weird to read with it now as a "normal" deck, does this make any sense ? Anyway I never read with a new deck straight away, I always wait for the deck to call to me to be read (I'm probably a creature of habit and have to get used to the idea of reading with a new deck before I actually do)

I have heard people mentioning the Greenwood, but have never seen scans of any of the cards. I'm going to have to go on a search....
I know what you mean about using it as a regular deck - seems almost sacreligious...
I look forward to hearing how your first reading with it goes.

I'd also like to see some scanned pictures of the deck.

There was another thread on the Greenwood, Kaz had given a link where you can see all the cards on line, here it is:
http://home.hccnet.nl/k.van.rijn/images/Greenwood/
That will make it much clearer than me going on and on about the pictures...

Everyone seems to be looking for a copy of this deck. Why is it out of print? They could sell a lot of copies if they looked in the right place.

I agree, I did not even want to put this deck on my wish list because I did not want to be reminded I could not buy it if I wanted it. Now that I have one it feels like winning the lottery :D
I don't get it why some decks get reprinted and this one not (well so far). I wish everyone who wanted one could just buy one, it would be great to have feedback from other deck owners.

Hi,
I have been looking for about a year for my Greenwood deck and I finally got it and LOVE it! I did my first reading with it which turned out to be a reading with only Minors from 5, 6 and sevens, nothing else.
I keep this deck only for my personal readings.

Congratulations on your acquisition! I own the deck and it is very special to me. For me I find a spirituality in the cards that calls to me. It is firm but gentle and deck with much wisdom. It always leaves me with something to ponder and think through. I would recommend this deck to anyone who can get it. Hopefully they will reprint it so that others will have greater opportunity to purchase it if they want it.
On another note, BEWARE! You have demonstrated the unmistakable symptoms of Taroholism ... the taste for OOP decks ... ;)
