I got the Amber!

My husband Ken did get it for me for our 20th Anniversary, and a special thanks to Jeannette @ Tarot Garden, who also sent an extra gift as well, thank you. :D What a sweet guy. For the first time, ever I have not opened the deck and looked through the cards yet, even though they are calling me. I want to have plenty of time to enjoy them, but I don't know how much longer I can wait, LOL. I might try translating the book using Bablefish; good for a few chuckles at least. He also gave me the Tarot of the Cat People as a decoy deck, which was not on my wish list, and hmmmm, I dunno. But it's the thought that counts, and he remembered me mentioning the deck months ago as one I might be interested in, so he gets points for that. Maybe I'll do as other Aeclectians, and use it to read for my cats. ;)

Congratulations!!! both on your anniversary and your new deck. Make sure and read the book of the Tarot of the Cat People, it may build your interest in the deck. I thought it was pretty neat and now I would never consider trading that deck. As for the Amber ... I think that will be a wedding present I will get for myself ;) ... I have been wanting that deck for far too long. I am just waiting until closer to the date, I will order it and open it on my wedding day while I wait around ... it will keep me busy and relaxed.

Congratulations on your 20 years AND your new decks (Amber - wow, what a beauty it is!!!) and I think that the Tarot of the Cat People (which I don't have, but have flipped through in person) might surprise you. So, have you done your first reading with either of them yet? :T7W Starfish

I haven't had a chance yet to read with them, but I will say that none of the scans I've seen really do this deck justice, IMO. And I usually don't like decks with pips, but...wow. I'm planning on doing a reading with both decks on Friday, when I have plenty of time to spend, and nothing I have to do. I'm going to give Tarot of the Cat People a chance. I don't dislike it; and I have heard enough stories about decks "sneaking up" on people - you know, they aren't very excited about it at first, but it becomes one of the favorite decks - who knows? :) And thanks for the congratulations. He is a wonderful man, and I *know* how lucky I am. ;)
