Wow - I love it! The colors are beautifully muted and the size is wonderful for small hands (I swear mine are kid sized!). I can't wait to try it out. I've opened it and done a couple of readings to see how it handled, and I'm very pleased. I did a "deck relationship" spread to see how we would get along and up came 2 of Cups :T2C - awesome, a loving partnership.
Thanks to those of you that mentioned it (I think I read about it in a thread at the end of June).

We are soul-tarot sisters! :) What do you think of your new deck?

I tried it out this morning - I am getting into 4 am as a good reading time. It really has wonderful energy and the cards are just great for shuffling.
I love the colors too. But I wish the depictions on the minor arcana were closer to the RW , they're very small anyway and now I just have to try to remember the original meanings by number because some of these don't make sense to me.
That devil card is really cool- so creative. I like the backs too.The whole deck is very warm and lays out beautifully.
I know what you mean about having problems shuffling big cards. I think my hands are average size, and I have to look carefully now at card sizes to make sure they will work for me. So frustrating to have a great deck, and all you can do is look at it or try to riffle it somehow. I need to do a lot of regular old shuffling when I'm reading. I have the Sacred Circle on order, and I hope it won't be unshuffle-able.
I actually cut down my Medieval Scapini deck. I took a quarter inch off the top & bottom with a paper cutter and then had to round all the corners by hand! I couldn't shuffle them at all because they were just a bit too long. I felt bad guillotining them like that. But I couldn't stop thinking about it once I got the idea !They look fine, and I can use them now, though I suppose they are very sore.
I really want the Golden Tarot when it's published - it uses real medieval art images. I wonder when USG will be ready?
Anyway,
will await more synchronicities...

Mine finally came today! along with Aquarian and I-Ching (bought off ebay). Old English is soooo beautiful, reminds me of a storybook. For some reason they also remind me of Germany.

Great comparison! I agree that they remind me of a storybook too!!
And I agree with Tarotphelia that this deck has great energy. It's so gentle and warm colored - it gives me the warm and fuzzies just looking at it! This will definitely be my soothing deck...

I am starting to get the feeling that my Old English Tarot wants a nice red velvet bag the same color as the Fool's cap - maybe with some English medieval-style embroidery on it....
Uh-oh, this could start a study of Renaissance pouches & bags at my house!

Oooohhhhh.... How lovely that sounds! And it would definitely be a wonderful home for your deck. I wish I could sew the bags - I do needlework and have quite a few medieval style needleworks hanging on my walls. My Old English is currently housed in a red bag with swirly teeny gold stars and a matching gold cord that I got from Tarot Totes. The deck seems very happy in it's home.

Mine is also in a Tarot Totes bag. It's yellow with the same pattern as the background of the Majors. I haven't had any complaints from the deck about it... ;)
With all this talk about the Old English, I think I should really try reading with it again. I only tried once, and it didn't really work for me then.

That's a beautiful bag - I ordered it also; it's currently empty. But not (I'm sure) for long. ;)
As for trying your Old English again, yes do! And let us know how it goes.

What type of needlework do you do Starfish? I have taken up embroidery this year, and I am fond of traditional crewel patterns. Sewing the bags themselves seems like it could really be easy for you, compared to doing needlework.
Anyway, I have been looking thru period costume books, and sketching new pouch designs this morning - very naughty. (I should be doing awful work!)

I do crewel, ribbon embrodiery, counted cross stitch, you name it.
BTW - I love the "Tassels may be involved" line - it just made me smile upon reading it.
