I have been searching for a tarot deck that is similar in size to a normal poker sized deck of cards or maybe even smaller ( ie, Bridge size), but as yet have had no luck.
Any reconmendations of sites would be welcome.
PS. I already own 1JJ Swiss Tarot deck, which is fine for readings, but I would like to incorperate a smaller deck into a magic routine as the 1JJ deck is far too large for manipulation.
Thanks in advance
Wayman.

Both the Dragon and Thoth decks are smaller than Rider-Waite decks. Others, like the Ibis are smaller still(Ibis being thiner)
You could always check out Joan Bunning's Learning the Tarot website. If you scroll down to the link where it says "Brows and Buy Tarot Decks" you will see alphabetical listings of decks. She generally adds deck demensions to the deck info!

U.S. Games makes pocket-sized editions of their Rider-Waite deck, the Connolly deck, and the Albano-Waite deck. You can check them out at usgamesinc.com.

Spiral is small, as is the Tarot Nova that comes in a fortune telling kit with a book on palmistry.

I have the Art Nouveau tarot published by US games and the cards are narrower than of any other deck I have (and narrower than playing cards as well). I guess it'll be easier for laying out spreads but I haven't used it for reading yet (only just got it)

The Mary Hanson-Roberts Tarot is small (about the size of regular playing cards). If you want really small ( about the size of a postage stamp) try the Tiny Universal Waite deck. Both decks are published by US Games and can be
seen at their web site www.usgamesinc.com

Thanks for the responce
Its seems that most tarot deck are 4 inches tall...
The ideal size would be regular playing card size, ie. poker or bridge size
poker = 6.5cm wide X 9cm tall approx
bridge = 6cm wide X 9cm tall approx
I have lots of leads now but If anyone has a specific deck that looks wicked and magical of the same size then that would be an ideal starting place.
The Thoth has a pocket version which is the Ideal size but I am not keen on the cards themselves.

The Spiral is about the size you're looking for. :)

Good question, Wayman. I've been looking for a main deck to use that wouldn't feel awkward in my smaller hands. I've had great luck with the Gill and the Ancestral Path, both which are more squarish in shape and easier to hold. I look forward to reading everyone's posts (and possibly adding to my collection ;)).

The Tiny Universal waite is small, too small. I bought this deck hoping that I would be able to carry it around with me -every single time I get it out I end up playing 78 card pick up with it lol - I have small hands but this one is so small as to be unusable, you'd need a maginifying glass to see the details on the cards :) But the Hanson Roberts is a nice size ( 4 inch x 2 1/2 inch approx) and the Spiral is 4 1/4 inch x 3 inch :)

I've got the miniature Rider-Waite to carry with me all the time. It's 4.45cm x 7.3cm (1 3/4" x 2 7/8"), still big enough to handle (well, for me ;) ) and you don't need a magnifying glass.

Thanks for all the help people.
I tracked down all your suggestions and finaly found a decent size
(perfect in fact...poker size)
Rider-Waite Tarot Deck, Pocket 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 (inches)
The cards are thinner than a normal card but its the size that counts (he he) :)
