Hi all,
Yes taroholic annonomous failed again..lol..just bout the Faery Wicca Tarot.
I really like the deck but the book is small...does anyone have any suggestions on how I can "Get it" with this deck. The key for me (like the Sacred Circle Deck) is to learn about the settings and images..then it will come together..
PS I love the pictures and guess what..the Faeries made me make a green velvet bag with a gold and silver sun on it for them..LOL..just as addicted to making bags as I am to the cards.

Did you get just the deck then, not the deck and ook set? I didn't know there was the deck-only option available.... I got the deck andbook set, and the vbook is one of the biggest I have seen, but still not very good.
One tip for this Tarot deck that I will give, is to look at the words that are 'hidden' in each card... Each suit has a sentence in it, pertaining to the overall meaning o that suit, with each word of that sentence being in a card... For instance, I believe (I cannot remember exactly now!) that the suit of Wands says something along the lines on,
Power of Fire, Give me the energy to blah blah.... But each word is consecutively hiden in each card. So, 'Power' is in the Ace, 'Of' is i the 2, etc....
I didn't actully see this until quite a while after I got the deck, and was pretty chuffed at my discovery!

the author of the faery wicca also has a few books out on faery wicca itself. the books aren't about the deck itself but understanding more about faery wicca might help. there is an old thread in the archives where we discussed this deck and how to read it at length. i haven't learned to read the deck or read either book yet but i hope to get to it this lifetime. unfortunately, i can't take my collection w/ me! LOL ;)

Thank you for your help.
Kiama, I think we have different decks, mine is by Kisma K. Stepanich and it came in a box the same size as the cards and the book is the same size as the cards.
I will look into old threads and see if I can find a book on Faery Wicca practices..
Thanks again and blessings,

It sounds like CJ has Llewellyn's Mini-Kit, where the deck comes with a small book, all in a deck-sized package, like the Nigel Jackson and the World Spirit. There are a few of these that are reissues of previous full-size Llewellyn deck-book sets, and I believe the Faery Wicca and the Enochian Tarot are among them.
CJ, you may want to check and see if the large book that came with the original Faery Wicca set is available separately. I know the books to their decks are often available separately. You could check Amazon and/or llewellyn.com.

I also have the deck with the small book, and I got the two books on faery wicca truthsayer was talking about.
The first one is mostly about the history and legends in Ireland, the second is more about practices for yourself.
If the deck really appeals to you you may like these books as well. It's a lot of reading and I only just started, but I think they could offer a lot of understanding of the symbolism on the cards.
I expect for the rest I can rely on my own knowledge of tarot and intuition, if I can get more familiar with the pictures on the deck through these books.
They are oop but not very hard to find.

I've started a thread down in the Study Groups section about this deck if anyone cares to join me. I don't have the books for this deck... only the small one it came with. If you'd like to discuss... come on below the line... I dare you! LOL
R :)
(and forgive me if I'm a little slow... I'm also working on my WS deck)
