Hi everybody
I read with the Morgan Greer usually (my main deck; I love the colours and find it a very rich and sensual alternative to the Rider Waite). I also own The Fairies Oracle (with I adore), David Sexton's 'Winged Spirit' (find quite difficult to read with but was a gift and I love the art work), The Rohrig (was not initially happy with but the art work is wonderful and it is good for divination), Tarot of StPetersberg and my least favourite, The Art Nouveau (a little dated and I don't like the different interpretation of the minors. The art in the minors is also less superior than the majors which adds to my dislike of the entire deck).
I read another thread from somebody asking about decks with pips and how they wanted to try and read using the numbers and suit combination, rather than the illustrated minors and it got me thinking.
I have always been slightly pulled by the Adrian deck but have always resisted it thinking that it was slightly cold and not an easy deck to do a reading with. On the other hand, I find some of the illustrations so appealing and always come back to looking at it when I am in the shops. I know that a lot of people do not like this deck, as they think it lacks in a lot of symbolism.
What I am asking is -
Are there any readers out there that absolutely love this deck? What are their reasons and why did it 'pull' them?
What are the tricks to reading this deck? Any stories about how it pulled someone into it when they read with it?
Are there any advantages to non-illustrated minors?
I do want to purchase this deck but don't want it to be another pretty one that lays redundant with my Art Nouveau deck in the bottom of my tarot chest.
Any advice before I go hunting for it in the next couple of days would be most appreciated.
Thanks to you all
Yaboot

Well if you get it and cant read with it at least you can amuse yourselfd by putting together the puzzle the majors forms lol
Actually Ive wanted this deck for years, but it keeps getting bumped down the wishlist for more useable/or limited edition decks.

Yes, there is the puzzle. The question I forgot to ask was is there some meanings to the line drawings on each card? Obviously, there are but are they described within the acompanying booklet? When I look at the pips, there are shadows of colour which play games with your eyes. Any ideas about them? Maybe these illustrations and shadows are beginning to work on me already!

The designes are not described in the LWB, however the are fantastically done. Not the intricacy that's fantastic, because they're not all too involved, however the actual design gives you a distinct feel for the card. The points and lines and curves all work in it's favor. The background coloring is arbitrary to the card as it goes with the background puzzle, so far as I've felt at least. It's a heavily manipulated photographic deck, so if you don't like photographic art you may not like it. The worst part about that that sticks out to me is the keys in the heirophant, they look like my bike lock key.
Here's a few more images if you haven't gotten ur fill of seeing the deck online yet.

I have added the Adrian to my collection but until now it still rests untouched in its box (due to lack of time).
Some might it consider as a "cold" deck because of the artwork but I think it is pretty interesting.
