I Finally Got IT!!!

IT being the Blue Rose Tarot! There is a great thread in here with a description/review by Lee. I have wanted this deck for what feels like *years* and now I have FINALLY gotten in my very own hands! Wow!!! It's the first deck I've gotten that I have been that excited over. So amazing. I agree with Lee though, after looking through it, in that I will be very excited when I get the book to go with it. I have been reading the updates on Tarotpassages and it really helps in understanding the artist's vision.

Thank you Starfish! I really appreciated your reply! (I am still pretty new around here, so I didn't get many responses... when you replied I was kinda relieved, honestly *G*). (You like me, you really like me... LOL). It feels like I have been waiting for years to get it and begging the universe to bring it to me. :::sigh of relief::: now to sit back and enjoy.... and ignore the nagging voice over my shoulder whispering about the world spirit deck, Illuminated tarot, Portal Tarot, the Rock and Roll Tarot, Rachel Pollack's new book, Fey tarot coming in september along with the Comparative deck by Lo Scarabro.... AAAAAAAH... BE QUIET!!!!!!!! ;-) Seriously, if any deck should be able to tide me over, this should. I am going to have to take some time to get used to reading with it because it is so beautiful I just stare at the pictures and kind of don't think anything except, "wow. pretty." this one is on my wishlist too. may i ask how much it costs? (so i know how long i need to save up for it) i love the majors especially in this deck

Hey Jema, It was $132 altogether ($125 for the deck and $7 for S&H). Ms. Gibby accepts money orders or checks, I believe, but not credit cards. After I ordered it, it took a little over two weeks to receive it. It is made upon ordering by Carol Herzer ( www.soul-guidance.com ). There is a book to accompany the deck that Ms. Gibby is still working on. Lee told me that everyone who ordered the deck will receive the book once it is finished... (I didn't receive a note from Ms. Gibby stating this, that I remember, so hopefully this will indeed come to pass). I know it was pricey... but altogether worth it.

It is a stunning deck! My 3 favorite cards are :THP High Priestess, :TSTAR The Star and :TMOON The Moon. Not surprising, because these are my 3 favorite cards in a Tarot deck ;). I also love the butterflies in the Ace of Wands :TAW and my card, :TQS being represented by Jackie Kennedy Onassis - too cool! Thank you for sharing the link with me. :TMOON Starfish

I posted a reply and it got lost :-( I really like her take on the Aces. The water frog is awesome (ace of cups). My hubby is Indian (continent, not Native American) and I love that this culture is displayed often in this deck - 10 of cups and Hierophant off the top of my head. I can't wait to meditate to the Hermit card. I could also have dreams about the Moon card. The scan of the High Priestess card at the site does not do it justice - her face is extremely gorgeous up close. Well, I could go on and on... *G* Glad I could pass my obsession on LOL!

You know you want it... ;) As for the Blue Rose deck, I'm not even going to click on the link (well, at least until my resolve gives out). I have NO money and... must not buy more decks... *struggles* :) Kes

Hi Molly, congratulations for taking the plunge! :D It does state on Carol Herzer's website that there is a "booklet in preparation," but I can tell you for a fact that the "booklet" will be a full-length book. Have fun with your new deck! -- Lee

Ya Ya Ya.... I KNOW!!!! NO ONE wants to trade that deck because everyone who gets it LOVES it! I KNOW I NEED it, like bad, man... :::Sniff:::: I'm gonna have to wait until my birthday - a whole entire whole long month away! :::pout::: I'm gonna have ta go look at my Blue Rose deck again to make myself feel better ::bratty grin::
