Gosh - somebody hold my hand and/or slap me!!!!
I just won the Jungian Tarot on ebay for more money than I originally intended to spend on it... 71,00 Euro...
I still cannot believe I did it. I just hope that it is as good as I think it is from pictures I have seen on the Internet.
OK, you fellow-tarotholics - please confirm that I did not just threw 71,00 Euro out of the window for a *sucky* deck!!!!
does anybody else have this Tarot? What are your experiences with it? Did you like it? Hate it? Threw it away? Or love it?
As far as I know, it's OOP, isn't it???? Don't tell me it's still in print or I throw myself out of the window...
BB,
Helruna
PS: I think this is the most expensive deck I've ever pruchased and ever will purchase...

I am soooooooo jealous!!!! In my opinion you did not throw your money away. The Jungian tarot is not only OOP it is also pretty hard to find! If you do not like it I am sure someone on this site would buy it if you listed it in the trade section. Congratulations on your new acquisition! please tell us all about it when you get it!

Wow, congratulations!
Everything I've seen of this deck is awesome! If you end up not clicking with it, I'm sure someone here would be willing to adopt it.
Be sure and let us know your thoughts and feelings on this deck after you get it.
Best wishes,
rod

helruna,
i owned this deck/book set at one time, but no longer keep OOP sets if they don't "click" for me. that's 'cuz of the purely practical need for shelf space!
this deck is a keeper if you are wanting a good study of the jung-tarot connection...also for the great find of a hard-to-get OOP deck!
no negatives about it--you've got a find...i just didn't get into this particular art style, but that's my own quirky druthers. also, the cards are untitled, which can prove difficult if you are still learning tarot. however, i did eventually become able to identify the cards, as i furthered my experience with easier, more common decks. the symbols on this deck are familliar enough to learn if you stick with it.
this is a keeper for the serious collector, at the very least...GOOD FOR YOU!

helruna,
you definitely deserve kudos on this one. even if it doesn't end up being the most gorgeous deck you've every seen, you've got something that will probably go up in value as it is rare. you must keep it and if you don't-- i want it!!!!!!! LOL i think i've seen more tarot-holics after this one and the amber than any other of the hard to get decks.

Oooh, congratulations!
It sounds like you got a pretty good deal to me, I've seen that deck go for quite a bit more.
Really, if you think about it, you paid about what a night out costs (give or take a bit) - dinner at a non-fast food place, cover charge, drinks. And you'll have something that lasts much longer. :D

How much is 71,00 Euro in Sterling?
(And yes, you've got a great find! Don't let that one get away from you ever!)

Right now Euros are roughly equivalent to U.S. Dollars, if that helps.

Hi Pollux,
This was the last copy of the Jungian. The same is for the pantless Röhrig deck (I tried to get another one for some special a.netty to trade with ;)
You know, I am damned good at tracking the last copy of decks.

Ok, I got the message... boy, do I feel like an idiot now that the deck is available again... of course exactly when they *reissue* it... great... :(
Or others find the *old* version for much less...

Helruna don't feel bad!!!! You have AN ORIGINAL! Since the second publishing is by small company and not widely distributed perhaps it will go OOP again soon (now that I have secured my copy I am comfortable with that thought! *LOL*)... Very serious collectors will place a higher value on the original.

Helruna, you definitely have a much more valuable edition. This is beyond doubt, and every serious collector knows that. You got the original version.
As for catlin, she's just a very lucky person, since she has a lot of shops around, and spends half or more of her life browsing them. :P
Don't feel bad at all, you got an original wprth a lot, and the fact you spent more than catlin means nothing, since the 71 € is a very good price for the original! :)

Thanks for cheering me up. I just felt a bit bumped out by hearing that the Jungian was *in print* again. Darn it, I am still waiting on it to arrive!
Well, I am not a serious collector, maybe that is why I didn't really see the *original* site of the situation. I got this copy more of the interest in the deck, not b/c it was considered OOP at the date/time I saw it on ebay...
Well, it is a comfort in some ways to know that this will be the original. And I am looking forward to the book as well. I have heard from the other thread, that not even a LWB comes with this new deck??? And the book they offer is not a very good accompanying book? That still seems pretty strange to me.
Oh well, lol, Caitlin indeed seems to be cruising the shops in her region quite often. I am glad for her that she found this rather inexpensive copy. :)

Hi guys,
I wish I had more shops here around, there is only one here with a bigger selection of decks, all the others have only RW's and Thoths but I have a third ear which hears all the nice decks out there calling to me. LOL.
No, seriously, I owe much of my collection to other nice a.netties providing me with links or wonderful trades but ok, I usually spent one hour/d after work hoboing book shops when I feel this special "pull" and lo, there is often a deck or book out there which I wanted for ages. I just wait for the right occassion (ok, for the Sternenmädchen tarot I waited too long and so it is gone for good):
I was also downcast when I heard that there is another Jung edition out there but you also cheered me up.
