Hi,
I just got the African Tarot a few days ago. It`s very small and looks as if it`s been drawn with marker pens by children. I think that this childish art style will make it a good deck for spell-work and the small size means it`ll fit in my bag. The one thing I don`t like about it is the lack of facial expression, some of the characters look really miserable.

Congratulations on your new deck! How small is it? The colors are lovely and it looks like a fun and happy deck.

Just curious: Why does having childish-style pictures make a deck especially suitable for spellwork?

Hi,
Starfish, it measures just over 3" by just over 2" so it`s really diddy. Perfect for your handbag.
Kyrielle, I think that the childish pictures would be good for spellwork because the unconcious mind relates well to simple, childlike images.

Interesting thought on the childish pictures, I wonder if Tarot Nova would be good for spellwork based on the same principals.

Oh, it is perfect for a handbag! Perfect for small hands, too.
As for the mind relating well to simple, childish images, I think you are on to something! :)
Have you worked with it yet?

Haven`t really worked with it yet, I`m still getting to know it. Tarot Nova is the deck I used for spellwork before I got this one and it`s been fine.

I agree wholeheartedly with Liliana, and I've renamed this thread accordingly. In fact, I'm going to start renaming threads regularly when they don't reflect the subject of the thread.
