Hi everybody
I have been looking at quite a few decks lately and The Fantastical Tarot has been one of them. It just seems to keep drawing me back; the illustrations look like I could get inside of them and like the haunting characters that I find within them. I also like the darkness in comparison to my main Morgan Greer. There seems an intuative side to the cards as well, like the faeries I have met through their oracle.
Does anybody else use this deck a lot?
Is this anybodies main deck?
Do you read for others with it or just for yourself?
I was considering The Adrian Tarot at one point but I am favouring this one at the moment. It seems to have everything that The Adrian does not.
If you do have experience of this deck, good or bad, please let me know, as I think another shopping trip and 'dent' on the student overdraft is about to happen.

Hi Yaboot! I own the deck, but have not worked with it. What I can tell you is that it is RWS based, and that it has some night scenes on it which I really like. I also like the characters in this deck. The deck looks real readable to me, if you are familiar with the Raider Waite I doubt this one will give you any problems.

i have it, got it from wolfspirit, read her comments about this deck in the worst deck thread. (she didnt like it).
i do like it, i read with it for some collegues at work and everybody likes the cards, they read easily, indeed like a waite/smith deck. so, it gets the thumbs up from me here.
i know there is a website that shows all the cards, you might serch the older threads for this deck and check it out.

I traded this one away. While I loved the art, I had a hard time reading with it. The minors were more like pip cards than I liked at the time. It was hard not to do a reading with this deck while picturing another deck in my head, if you know what I mean.
You can see all the cards at tarot.com... the scans aren't great but you can get an idea of what I'm talking about with the minors, especially the wands suit.
But, if you are a fairly experienced reader, you probably won't have the kind of difficulties that I did at first.

My mom bought herself this deck awhile ago, apparently she tried to learn tarot before but hated the deck she had, so obviously she never managed to learn. Im not sure what deck that was. But she looked around and decided she liked this deck and bought it. Never asked her how shes doing with it, will next time i see her. Oh well, if she decides tarot isnt for her at all, it'll be another thing in either my Christmas or Birthday basket in December Im sure lol. But it seems like a very interesting deck, kind of darkly romantic.

I think you hit the nail on the head with 'darkly romantic' because that is how I see it.
I love the 5 and 7 of Swords.

Yep that's right. I remember the colours in the deck were really beautiful, but to me the people all looked as if they had been hiding in a dark cellar too long without food.
