As a Christian reader, I am REALLY excited about this new deck. Anyone out there already fortunate enough to have this deck in their posession? I am really interested in hearing people's first impressions. Lay it on me!

This is a really beautiful deck based on the style of art used for the Byzantine icons. All the cards have embossed gold foil for the background -- lovely for candlelight meditation, but not for use in bright light or sunlight! Every card except the court cards illustrates a Biblical character or story. Some of them are obscure, but the LWB gives a brief clarification for all of them. The spread in the LWB is not the standard Celtic Cross, but something rather complicated (for me anyway) called the Orthodox Cross. I do not see myself using this deck for readings, but it is excellent for meditation and contemplation. Light some candles, put some Gregorian chant on the CD player (not a Russian music form, but it sets the mood nicely) and you have an almost cathedral-like environment for your meditation work with these cards. -- Kyrielle

I want it, I think it would be a good balance to Place's Tarot of the Saints and I would love to compare them......

I'm a pagan, but I do love icon-style art. It is a breath-takingly beautiful deck, I love looking at it! I'm not sure I will ever read with it, probably will though. I was a Christian for many years, so many of the images are familar. But it is absolutely beautiful! Haven't been able to do much more that just look through it a couple of times though.
