I have seen these cards, as someone mentioned the creator, Margerete Peterson - but I seem not to be able to find this deck anywhere, not even on Amazon...??
here are some pics, if they help:

I know for sure I've seen this Tarot before on a website, but I don't know how?
Is the name of the deck the same as the author/creator?
any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, Helruna, I found it! :) It's Petersen with an "e," not an "o."
Click here for the entry in German Amazon.

It is great! In fact it took some time to click with me as I considered it more as a meditation deck than a reading deck but when I got it and made the first readings with it, I was thrilled.

That was exactly my first impression, when I saw the cards - that it would be great for meditation and such things. Also, I could picture myself doing readings. I guess, you are right, you have to work with this one before it really *clicks*..
Well, however, it's on my wishlist know! :)

I really like the Majors, and I like the style of the Minors, but I found the Minors to be so abstract that they were hard to read with. (Especially since the contents of the book are a mystery to my non-German-speaking self!)

i love the margarete petersen. i think one of the things that draws me is that it's not like traditional tarot. it has its own world of creative concepts. i would love to own an english copy of the book. just using my intuition w/ it is fine but i'd love to read where the creater was coming from.
if you like the MP, you should also get the ananda and rohrig. both are gorgeous german decks. off the top of my head, i can't think of any american deck that rivals these 3 in beauty. imho, i find rohrig the most readable then the ananda, and last the MP.

My feelings about this deck are very similar to Lee's. LOVE the majors, find the minors beautiful artistically, but a bit abstract to work with (now anyways). If you like the art of this deck you might want to check out the Roots of Asia.
