:eek: blew me away.
I just thought this would be handy to cary in my purse and that I would be thinking of the meaning to other decks when I pulled a card
drum roll.....
1. World
2. Judgement
3. Empress
The waite deck I tried to work from once upon a time didn't seem to connect with me at all. You think my decision to try to use it as a stand in for other decks that I might not have with me had anything to do with that? Or is URW doing the talking this time? It looks like a good reading but I can't help but think of the phrase if it's too good.

Juice;
I've seen a couple of variations of the "new deck spread". I'm wondering what attributes (is that the word I want?) you assigned to each position? In other words "1= what, 2= which" etc...

1.) What will you teach me?
2.) What do I need to do?
3.) What will our relationship be like?
Careful or this thread will be moved to usage instead of a comment on how strange and varied this deck is. I found the spread in a link to somewhere on this site when someone asked what a new deck spread was. I haven't seen any other variants yet and have to admit that I hadn't scratched my brain to make any. I simply assume that most here were used to this variant.

Congrats on the new deck I think that you intended for the URW to stand in for other decks, but then it sure told you! ;) Seriously, once you start carrying it in your purse, you will expect it to be there for you, and you will start to use it for itself rather than just what you have with you. I hope that made sense...
And now a question: how does the tiny deck handle? Is it too small or just right? Are the pictures still fairly visible? I've had my eye on this one for my purse too.

I've been carrying it for around a month now and it has been nice. I used to keep a dice in my purse for a quick i ching reading but hadn't gotten enough of the meanings down to stick to it. I do have to look closely but there is enough detail. The hardest part is shuffling. You must use a lacing method. I got the one with the little plastic case ona key chain. Take the cards out of the case and leave the case dangling from a pinky. With the stack being taller than it is wide or long, all you can do is search through the cards, lace them, and deal. You'll have to learn to pick a card from inside the stack. One advantage is that you can do this without pulling them out of the case first.
I had been considering getting a small plastic case and putting miniature dice in it as soon as I worked out an equivalant odds-wise rolling system with regular shaped dice to use as stand-ins.
It would have been a little like getting a small bag of beeds and painting 1c, 10w, 18, kp, Ns, and so forth on them. Then you could explain to people that it was a problem when you lost your marbles. }) Even though mini-cards are bulkier than a baggy with a couple of dice in it, 2 would be enough, I like the pictures for hanging concepts off of.

Juice;
Was just wondering... I had seen a couple of variations in other people's new deck readings, so was wondering what you had used. Thanks...
