Hi Diana,
I consider this deck more a collector's item than a reading deck when you are not into Qabbalah and Golden Dawn. I traded mine to Ravenswing (he offered me another deck which was high on my wish list). The cards on the Navigator look indeed fascinating.

hi diana--
if you get the deck, get the book. there's a near overload of symbols in the majors (the minors are pretty stuffed too)-- the book explains them very well.
qabala not necessary for using this deck, but it does add an extra dimension. she sees the majors placed differently on the tree of life than the traditional golden dawn, and doesn't number them so you can use whatever ordering you want. this i like.
at the moment, this is a contemplation deck. i'm sure it'll read well eventually, but i have a feeling that'll be some time from now for me.
there is a set of workbooks forthcoming (or at least, that's what i've been told by the creator) i think these will be great to run through

I just got this in the mail this week. It looks like it is packed with symbolism. It feels like it will be a good reading deck to me. The art style is cartoonish but I like these cartoons better than any other cartoony decks I've seen. The tree of life may be no th back but doesn't seem to dominate the fronts. I managed to pick up teh book at a half price store but haven't gone through it any yet. My deck collection exploded in the last 2 months and I'm wayyyyyyy behind.

I must confess that I have not worked with this deck like I would like to ... so many decks so little time *LOL* ... but with that said I think the deck can be used intuitively as well because the cards are packed with symbols and vivid colors. I don't find the artwork cartoonish, but surrealistic. It is definetly not a clone, which is one of the things that drew me to the deck. The used in the cards are vibrant and from what I understand relate to the Tree of Life. This deck would be interesting for those into Qabalah, but I think it is probably just as usable for those who aren't. There is something there for many tastes. I look forward to having the time to spend with this deck. It intrigues me. I like that in a deck!

It's the only deck I know of with a bushbaby, a flamingo, and a kangaroo rat in it.
I haven't read with it yet -- too busy looking at the pictures trying to catch all the symbolism. It's a cool deck.
The best way to describe the people, I think, is as a colorful cross between space aliens and those really tall, slender, and regal African tribes you see in National Geographic. They're all bald.
