Hello !
I’m French and I’m very interested in tarot decks, and particularly Barbara’s Walker one. But when I use it, I’ve got some difficulties with some of the cards, especially the “Prince of Wands : Dagon” And the booklet doesn’t really help me . What do you think of this card ? How do you feel it ? What does it mean for you ? Thanks a lot and sorry for the language which may not be very proper.

The B. Walker deck is another deck I do not have... but I'm sure others will add their expertise.
And to echoe Diana, bienvenue!

Isabelle:
You might be interested in Barbara Walker's book The Secrets of the Tarot: Origins, History and Symbolism, which goes into detail about each card in her deck.
Here's a few quotes from the book about the Prince of Wands - Dagon:
"A shape-shifter, Dagon could present himself as a serpent, goat, bull, merman. Like Lucifer, he also represented the fertilizing fire descending into the watery abyss, so he bore the symbols of phallic scepter and uterine cauldron in token of his sacred marriage."
"The many facets of this complex diety make him an appropriate symbol for the prince of wands, representing all that is unexpected, startling, unpredictable, or unconventional. His dual nature... echoes the ancient images of all gods as simultaneously good and evil, light and dark, sometimes fertile, sometmes sterile."
"... he was supposed to introduce an element of chance or change, oftern seeming irrational, but having a deep underlying consistency."
Hope this helps in your meditations on this card.

Isabelle,
I absolutely love the Barbara Walker deck- my only issue with it is the court cards. The courts are so difficult to interpret anyway, she just makes them more obtuse and unapproachable. But her Majors and Pips, in my opinion, are unparalleled. the 3 of Cups, the 4 of swords, The Moon, and the 3 of swords are etched into my memory, what evocative images!
