~ Renaming Tarot Decks

I was browsing tarot decks on line... as you do... and I came across the Stella Tarot and thought it really should be called the He-Man Tarot or maybe the Meat and Two Veg Tarot (Look at the Page of Wands, Two of Coins and Seven of Wands :P ) So silly :D So... what would you rename some of your favourite, or maybe your worst tarot decks? (Please don't be offended people, just a bit of fun :D)

That's easy. The Terrestrial Tarot should be renamed to the Pond Scum Tarot. The pictures are bizaar enough. I'm tempted to call the Cat People Tarot the People of the Heavy Eyebrows. Well, at least from some of the cards. That always bothered me.

The Cosmic Tribe is now the Nekkid People Tarot, according to my friends, and the Deva Tarot, according to my 9 y/old sis, is the cheeseburger Tarot, cuz the box it comes in looks like those microwaveable cheese burgers you can buy. Kiama

i know it's next to this question but i want to ask this, what do you think of the terrestial tarot? ... i looked at it a lot, but never bought it, but it makes me very curious, it looks so special, so strong...

The Robin Wood Tarot = The Ken and Barbie Tarot .... Neon blond hair, perky nipples and supermodel guys. The Sacred Rose Tarot = The Scary Eyeball Tarot ..... Its hard to like this deck because of the eyeball thing going on. The Rohrig Tarot = The Augmented Tarot ..... Don't get me wrong, I like this deck, probably one or two sizes too much

The Fantastical tarot is the Famine tarot... all those pale faces with hollow cheeks.

I thought Rohrig was the Disembodied Booby deck Book of Chaos is the Sex and Drugs deck Cosmic is often called the Celebrity Tarot or Tarot of the Stars I believe Diana called Soultidings Truthcards the Bible Tarot, but personally i call it Tarot in Denial Adrian is the Tarot of the BIg Green Penis :THP

Hi Rostie-- I looked at it a long time too, found all the pictures I could online, and when I ran across it for $8 at a half price bookstore I got it. But it's got some really weird energy, not what I'm used to working with. All the pictures are composits or sections of creatures, many of them done with an electron microscope (though there is part of an elephant in there). Dark & creepy is the term I'd use. I've looked at all the images, tried a shuffle, and just can't get going on it. The meanings are completely different from the standard decks, so there's that learning curve to it too. But from what I hear once you get into it givess a very powerful reading.

Myers's Art Nouveau Tarot must be some cousin of the Stella. Hanged Man? -- They're all well-hung men. On the other side, there's Tarot Art Nouveau, where the women are the ones looking a little too perfect. -- Kyrielle

Zerner-Farber is per my Friend is "the pretty tapestry tarot, not that ugly one". Voyager is the collage tarot. Tarot of the cat people is the Krazy costume tarot. Motherpiece isthe anti-men tarot. "Ruben Ruben I've been thinking, What a grand world this would be, If all the boys were transported, Far beyond the deep blue sea." Rock art is the cartoon acid trip. Witch's is the colored courts. And then we have the Dead Waite deck. I'll stop while I'm behind. HudsonGray Rostie-- I got the terrestrial the same way and it didn not speak to me. It's nice to know where it got the pictures from... It may be the Pond Scum T from now on though.
