I bought it coz i saw the samples online and they looked so good...but when i got it, a closer look at the illustrations looked like a cluster of dots...as in....uuurrrggghhhh......i don't know how to describe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finn... Do you mean that the images are made up of visible dots like the photos in a newspaper? That would be disappointing. I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with it. Those sorts of things can be soooo disappointing... :(

not too invalidate how you feel about this deck, i suggest you give the deck a little time. imho this one is well done for a lo scarebeo deck. i can tell some thought went into this one. i don't generally like the look of marseilles style decks but this is the only one i've found acceptable thus far. in fact, it must not taste too bad either b/c one of the cats took a bite out of the box and let teeth marks on a few cards! ;) LOL
one of the reasons i like the deck is the art. the "little dots" are from an artistic technique of pen and ink. the colors look like they were done in a watercolor wash after the inking is done. the kind of inking done on these cards is time consuming. (i know i've done it!) this technique also gives them the look of being aged. the dots also give the drawings more depth and contour than if the dotting had been left out. of course, the drawings would look cleaner w/o the extra inking.
what style decks do you generally like?
sorry about the art lesson but i thought if you could see the cards thru new eyes then that might helped you come to appreciate the deck. of course, if you don't, feel free to trade it here. you should be able to find something that you like better.

I agree with Truthsayer, you've got a deck done in pointalism, those tiny dots are hand done, I've used the technique before also, and it takes a lot of time to do. It's not like the 'newspaper print' where pixtels are enlarged so much you see the individual dots. This is a particular art technique & supposed to look the way it does on the cards.
If you don't like it though, and it interferes with your reading, you can trade it away or sell it. There are all sorts of art styles available, just keep looking.

Well...after posting my message, I decided to give the deck another chance...
I can say that first impressions are not all they seem. Actually, I'm growing to accept the dotty things......maybe I criticize too much...
I'm growing to love it.
Did a reading yesterday, and I got pretty good results.

Truthsayer & HudsonGray... thanks! I was wondering about the dots... Glad it wasn't just pixels showing up...
