I really, really, REALLY want this deck!! But, looking at Barnes & Noble, they don't have it in stock and the used ones are 57 and 143 dollars! Does anyone have this deck or any information as to whether it's possible to buy it for a decent price? It's only majors, too (I think)! :(

I'm so glad you added that...I was like, "Okaaay. Thanks for the feed back!" *lol*
That's just the book, though :( (the amazon link you gave) Thank you, though!
I found a place that has it for $15.50 with the book!! Hopefully I can get it.
Does anyone already have this deck?

yes, i have it and love it! the deck is done from the perspective of cats and is just delightful. the art is good and the book well written from the cat's pov. if you are a cat fanatic then i think this is a deck you must have. you can even do readings w/ it even tho it's a majors only deck.

StargazerLily: I acquired this deck several years ago. I wish it was a full 78-card deck because I love the artwork & the off-beat humor of a cat's view! Since the deck consists of only the Major Arcana, I sometimes use it to draw a one-card preface to a larger throw from another Tarot deck of 78 cards.

Do the cards easily let you know what they mean? If you know what I mean...

I just saw the Tarot for Cats deck on Ebay for around $25.00 ~sigh~
This one and The Amazing Fortunetelling book are way up there on my list. I suspect that from a cat's POV a tarot spread is simply a premium place to lie down and take a nap. :)

I thought that one was out of print! Someone I know with a cat site said she couldn't get orders on the decks for the last year and a half, nobody had them anymore.
Grab it quick! It's a nice one!

Oh uff... The deck IS OOP.
And the funny is that the book is also $24 !!! *LOL*
Grab it where you can find it - the price you mention is definitely a bargain!!!
And if there's more than one copy get one for me as well!!!! :D
I could get another deck for you in return, or set up a trade anyway! *LOL*
I want this deck too, unless I get a Paypal account going... :(

The Tarot for Cats is a wonderful OOP Majors only deck. I cannot recommend this deck highly enough. I thought it only came as a deck/book set (which is what I have). It has to have my most favorite Tower card ever!!! I cannot help but giggle every time I pull it out, and the thing is is that it is a very well done deck. If you know cats and struggling with the Major Arcana at all, this deck can really help you get over some blocks and open your understanding of the cards. I give this deck 5 sea shells (my highest rating).

I guess E-Bay might be the only place to buy it, then, and now everyone is going to go running over there to buy it :(! It might take a while, but I AM GOING TO GET THIS DECK! I didn't even know there was a book to go with it until I saw it on Amazon. It seems really cute. :D
P.S. Sorry Pollux! I would love to pick one up for you too. I was referring to e-bay but my selfish self didn't everyone clambering to bid the highest! :|

StargazerLily: At first glance, this appears to be a light-hearted deck; however, based on the images & symbols (albeit related to cats) that appear in each card, the artist deftly illustrates the understanding of the energies embodied by each card & the possible meanings. I think the images on the cards lend themselves well to interpretation, but knowledge of the basic meanings would be helpful. The images appear to be based on the Rider-Waite deck, but from a cat's perspective. Such as: The Tower is a white cat perched atop a chair that is tumbling over as a vacuum cleaner bumps into it. Death is an orange tabby stretching to reach a butterfly. Strength is a white kitten clinging to a huge dog. As Jewel mentioned, this deck can help with the understanding of the Major Arcana.

I'm not a cat lover. AT ALL. BUt I found this deck very cute and bright, without compromising on clarity of meaning. For example, Strength shows a small kitten holding the snout of a large German Shepherd, and the Devil is a Doberman Pinscher. I like the simple white border, too. Much better at bringing cats to life than Tarot of the Cat People, if you ask me. Get it! Get it!

How long ago did the deck go out of print?
Why do some decks become available again?

I have this deck, and I love it. I got lucky and got the deck and book set from the Australian ebay for $23AUS :)
Every now and again it pops up there, so don't forget to check the international options on ebay.
Cheers

MH... well, right: IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO ADVERTISE EBAY FINDS HERE! *LOL*
I am sorry you had to learn that at your expence, Stargazer. :(
But I am also confident that fellow Aeclecticans will think about it TWICE before doing this to you and CONSCIOUSLY. :)
Unless I get a PayPal account - that is, when I get a Credit Card, that is again not earlier than years *LOL* - no Tarot For Cats for The Gemini Twin... :P
P.S. If someone loves me and takes one shrinkwrapped still and at for £15 it would be awesome - well, even a not-wrapped one or more expensive... ;) ;) ;) *LOL* })
