I'd just like to know...
What do you think of the Londa Tarot? I love the costumes and the fey-like figures, but I think it lacks symbolism, and the Wands suit is rather poorly brought to life (the Wands suit is basically composed of pictures of people carrying burnt-out sticks in various positions and does not have much in terms of colour or symbolism; it just doesn't get the fiery energy of Wands across, while the Swords and Cups are much better.) Check the whole deck out at: http://www.phoenixskye.com/londa.htm
...and tell me what you think, and you should check out Jeanette's post in 'Talking Tarot' to have a look at how the beautiful costumes were brought to life too.
On a side note, if anyone has the deck and wants to trade it, I asked first. Hehe.

Demonesse - I have this deck and aesthetically like it. Like you I am drawn to the fey like figures. I do not use it for readings though so I have not tried to find symbolism in it. I just have it because I think it is neat looking *LOL*. If you like this deck you will probably like the Fantastical as well. Same fey like androgenous characters but with more color.

I like it, and I find that I can really get into readings with it.

I've looked at the Londa online, and while I find some of the figures interesting, overall it's just too weird a deck for me to buy. But I did love Jeannette's costumes! Those were incredible.

Demonesse: I'm not sure that I'd say that the Londa deck lacks color per say. Many of the cards are quite colorful, IMHO. What they lack, in comparison to other decks, is a lot of backgrounds and scenery. As a result, the "colorful" images are effectively embraced by a lot of "starkness."
I agree that it is not a symbolically-intensive deck. I prefer to think of it as more character-driven. That may make it less useful to folks as a reading deck, but perhaps more interesting for meditation/pathworking. The characters have a lot of "personality" that might facilitate some imaginative interactions.

No, I meant the WANDS suit in particular lacks colour - the rest of the deck is about as colourful as can be. All the brown hurts my eyes, lol! I've edited my original post to make it clearer.

Oops... so you did. Forty paper cuts with the "Devil" card to me, for not reading your post carefully enough!

Lol! That's a COINCIDENCE! I just got a paper cut myself!
No problem; I didn't state it clearly enough, actually. I just wonder why the whole Wands suit is so boringly similar in colour and appearance - I have trouble telling them apart by just a glance - when the other suits are quite distinctive; the Majors are darn 'neat' as Jewel so aptly puts it! And Wands is my *second* favourite suit, too! *sulk*

I was never that found of the style of facial features in the Londa deck, but I find it useable and do appreciate the costumes.
