What are the different type of boxes that tarot cards come in? Specifically, I've seen names of types and don't know what they mean. What is a clamshell box? A slip box? Any others?
I know it's a minor question but it's been bothering me.
Thank you in advance!

The clamshell is easy to describe. Take the standard tarot box/card set & lay it in front of you on the table. If it opens up the long way (the whole 'top' is actually the side of the box), that's a clam shell.
If it opens up just on the very top like a box of cereal, that's more the standard type. I don't think that has a special name for it.
I think the slip boxes are the ones that open like hard packaged cigarette packs. Where the top 1/3 comes off.
