Hi -
I am new to Aeclectic, I discovered this site soon after I picked up my tarot deck and started to use them on a regular basis. I have three decks, Voyage, Old English, and URW. I want to add another deck or two and am really intrigued by the Diamond Tarot. Is it hard to use because of the smaller pictures. I am intrigued by the wonderful, colorful borders, but don't want to be disappointed with it if they turn out to be a difficult deck to work with. I also like the Nigel Jackson, Old Path, and Sacred Circle...my wish list seems to get longer all of the time :D

I have the Diamond, it was given to me by a friend - I love it, its an easy deck to read with but the borders are very vivid, vibrant, its also a good deck for entering and meditation because of the borders.
The centre of the cards are recoloured Rider Waite and the whole of the cards match together nicely. It is as easy to read with as the R/W, if you like the borders (some people don't).
The online scans make the cards look a little dull, the actual cards are very, very colourful - not a deck to use when you have a headache lol

Thanks for the response, Emily.
I do really like the borders but was concerned because the pictures in the center were fairly small. I am glad to hear you like it and it is usable as a R/W deck. It doesn't sound like it is too much of a problem. And I think those psychedelic borders would be wonderful to meditate with too! :)

hi--
i found the diamond deck great for pathworking. i started outside the card and used the boardes as a tunnel to pass through before entering the card.
i got some really good results with it, though the pentacles were a bit difficult 'cause of their coloring.
all-in-all good if you like the RWS deck

you should go ahead and grab this deck, 'cuz, if i'm not mistaken, it's OOP--always a good reason for adding to your collection!

I am really interested in trying the pathworking, Ravenswing. Wow! this seems like a really special deck! And Metaz, I decided to go for it! :D I found a deck available at capricornslair.com. I will let you know what I think when I receive them. :)

Hi,
I made the mistake of trading my diamond....
I just wish the deck was larger. I liked it for meditation, but found the actual pix in the middle a bit small..
If anyone hears of an oversize diamond tarot let me know. Until then, I'm just gonna keep it on the wish list..which is still rather long, lol

It is really lovely! I am so glad I ordered it. The borders around the cards are fabulous, this going to be a wonderful deck to work with for, especially for meditation. The pictures are small but easily readable on the cards.
