Has anyone seen "Apologia de libro de thot" from Spain?

I just saw this set "Apologia de Libro de Thot" made in Madrid Spain. What beautiful art work all hand painted only the majors though. I can't really call them cards, they are painted on what seems like paper to me, and come in a leather binder the kind that folders over the compartment the "cards" are stored in. Simply AMAZING.The man told me they were old and limited edition #508 was on the set.Oh I forgot to say there were about 12 inches tall.

They sound absolutely amazing. I have a friend here who is from Madrid. I will ask her if she can find any information when she is back home for Christmas - I can't really expect her to devote much time, but you never know, with luck she might come across something (she is quite interested in cards in general).

Having read your description, I would love to see these.

tarotgarden does show one of the cards, if you'd like it see it. You'll have to type in the name in the search.

Actually... Tarot Garden shows a total of 6 sample cards. And, Dakini, you're right... they're beautiful! Wow. You can see them by searching on the word "apologia" on http://www.tarotgarden.com - just click on the "see more samples" button to view the others. They sound very interesting, and being hand painted and very large, sound definitely like a collector's deck that wouldn't be used for general readings. Thanks for mentioning this... I'd never heard of it before.

Very nice parchment & painting style and there's a booklet, even. Are you an Egyptian art fan? If you have likings for this style of art and want a 78 card deck, I'd recommend going to Tarotgarden.com and typing Egyptian to search.
If you like the Egyptian style and want 78 cards in color, there's tons of beautiful decks. None look exactly like the one you mentioned, there may be something...

Dakini:

Holy frijole! You saw an Apologia set? That one is incredibly difficult to find here in the 'States. If it's for sale, and you'd like to help us acquire it with some profit to yourself in trade decks or $$$, PM me with the price information, and I'll see if we can make an offer for it.
