well, just got mine yesterday. and wow, i so love the images. they're not as dark as i expected (it seemed different online and in print), but they're growing on me nonetheless. and the women are gorgeous! i especially love the suit of swords (woohoo queen of swords!)!! :)
well, do any of you have this deck as well? :)

That is the deck that Llewellyn writer Konstantinos recommends in his books for use with his system..."Nocturnal Witchcraft" and "Gothic Magick."

I love the Queen of Swords too, but even more the High Priestess !! (Hmm- Justice is a good card too- Death is very dramatic. ) I wish more of the cards were like those- there does seem to be an uneven style to the deck in some ways. But on the whole I like it ok.

I have this deck too
Its easy to read and i like to take it out when i read for some friends who like a "dark" reading :)
The cards i love the most in this deck are the moon and the star..especially the star!
But i have had a picture of the queen of swords in my diary from this deck for a few months....and indeed she looks so powerful!!! Its helped me remind me that i have power too!

Just got this deck and haven't worked with it yet, but my favourites are Death, the Hermit and the Knight of Chalices: I can just see the latter saluting his lady-love and handing the cup back before riding off to death or glory in the jousting tournament!

i agree. the art seems to drift from one period to another. however, somehow, it still has that whole feeling to them. i still haven't read with them yet. i'm waiting til after new year to consecrate them. :)

This deck is one of my favorites. There is something really nice about it. OK, I like most of my decks, but some really appeal, and this is one of them.
Many (most ?) of the images seem to be lifted from other decks, well, I recognised re-workings of RW. Old Path, even Manara (Lovers), whilst Lara Croft is the 5 of Swords! There could be other, but those are the 3 I recognised off the top of my head
Not sure about the 6 of Swords, I see it as arriving, not leaving, i.e. attaining, which mean travel, as in getting somewhere. Still, it doesn't really detract.
The drawings are good, and one can relate to them. I found the 10 of wands interesting, though. Unlike most who indicate over-work/burdan, in this pack it took me some thought, and then I realised: the woman has everything (being a 10), but is trapped (wands), i.e. the gilded cage. Thinking about it, how often are we trapped and over-working through the cages we create for ourselves, e.g. mortagages. If this card is using imagery from another deck, I'd appreciate knowing which deck? If not, well, this card really made me think about the meaning.
I think you can guess that I like this pack!
