Magic Tarot

I just found a site where you can see all the cards of the Magic Tarot, which I just ordered from Tarot Garden:

http://www.gambler.ru/sukhty/decks/d00193/d00193.htm

When you click on the 0 card, it's just a blank card with only a border. The Fool is card 22.

I really like the style of this deck. I like how the Minors look very mysterious but actually make total sense to anyone familiar with R-W-S meanings. The Hermit has an "eew" factor. Be sure to check out the Moon, a great card with a wonderful bat on it.

Oooh wow! That is a really awesome deck!

hehehe ... that's all I can think of to say! :D

The Moon card (always one of my favourites) is indeed gorgeous.
I just love bats ! But the hermit looks like he has been on his own a little too long LOL.
But I do love the whole atmosphere of the deck, it gives you the feeling of something very old and mysterious...

Doesn't that bat look a tad like Wiley E. Coyote from the Roadrunner cartoons? (Hope I don't spoil the card now!). I see the 'eww' factor for the Hermit. Reminds me of an archeologist who got lost in one of his caves & the light just happens to stay lit for eternity. Poor guy.

That 10 of Swords (Spades) is pretty 'eww' too. Russian deck, huh?

I do like Hermit cards to show elderly men, but this one is a little too elderly! :P

And it looks like there's a book too, how frustrating -- probably impossible for me to ever get, and even if I did get it, I'd never be able to read it... or maybe that's a good thing, I can forget about books and just interact with the cards themselves.

hehehehe, the bat does look like Wiley Coyote...
Pity we don't have more documentation on the deck, I just wonder what elements are from old russian (or other ?) culture, and what is the artitst's creativity.
I saw in some of the minor cards old men with lizard tails. Never saw anything like that before. Could this whole deck be the fantasy world of the artist made to look old ?
Just curious, it will not change my opinion of the deck whichever way, I still think it's beautiful !!

Here's a review, it may give some more information:

Thanks, Lee, for pointing out this incredible deck. Except for more Marseilles style decks, I can't really say I have a list of 'must own' decks, that is...until you posted the link to the Magic deck.
