Does anyone have this deck ? I was able to view it online and love the artwork. I'm drawn to anything Native American and
Shamanic in nature.
What's your opinion of this deck ???
I'm thinking of purchasing it, and would like some of your fine
expert advice before rushing out to the store!!!!!!

I had the Medicine woman Deck and it was wonderful. The book that comes with it is very good and gives a lot of advice for visual meditation along with the divination meanings. I used this deck faithfully for a long time, but have since moved on. The traditional meanings have changed. It has different images for the minors and the courts, very native American, and adds to the dimension of the Tarot. They are beautiful, and simple, and complex all at the same time. Don't wait, you'll love them!

I agree with so much of what Temperance413 said. The meanings of the courts are different but compatible. Everybody redoes the courts. Actuaaly all the minor menaings are compatible with other decks so that switching will not require you to throw out everything with the bath water. I did have to think about it sometimes to see how she got from standard meanings to her twist. I wanted to say that they aren't changed too far from normal but began thinking about it and came to the conclusion that the twist on some cards is far enough you can call them way different. Oh well I still think they are close enough for comfort. I've seen some decks that are so far off...
This is a very positive thinking, affirmation approach to Tarot. All of the cards with strong negative meanings still have strong negatives. The meaning for those type cards is something like now is a good time to watch out for such-and-such and follow this-and-such advice. The advice doesn't stop with meditation. There is an affirmation and advice on what to do when you draw this card for every card. As is very common there is lot more on the majors than the minors.
The author says she draws from native people's themes from around the world and does not pattern her work after a particular culture. I think it would be a great addition to your understanding of Tarot. If you have any specific question, if you don't run out and get this one before then, I can arrange to bring my book in with me tomorrow.

Don't know about expert advice from my end... but I definitely have an opinion. ;)
Anyway, I have looked at this deck several times at a local shop. (One thing I really like about this shop is they have samples of all of the Tarot Decks open on the shelves so you can really look them over.) So far I have not added it to my "wish list". The art work is lovely - no doubt about that. But the images don't really "speak" to me at this time. I'm not sure that I'm really ready for this deck... may not ever be. It is, I think, a bit too far removed from more traditional decks for my taste right now.

Thanks for the feedback. I really enjoy decks that are a little off
center and less traditional (that's me in a nutshell). I like having a few decks like this to add a new dimention to a reading or to
clarify or add to a reading after using a more traditional deck.
I will now definitely purchase this deck !!!
Thanks again!!!!
