Hi all,
I have searched the archives but could't find an answer to my question...
I have just received the Tarot of the Old Path which is very beautiful!!
Now, the online reviews state that silver accents are used in this deck (in the eyes, the stars in The Star, etc), but not in mine?? Sorry, but I was really looking forward to the silver effect, so I am a little bit dissapointed - especially as I wasn't aware of different prints of this deck....
So, does your deck have these accents or not?? Or where have I gone wrong??
Thanks for any input,
Mareike

Hmmmm .... well this is the first time I hear of the silver accents as well. I have had my copy of the deck for close to 7 years. I have not heard of any "silvery" printings of this deck. Don't be dissapointed, enjoy your deck. If there is, and you find, a silvery one then you can have 2, one for use and one for collection! :)

I received this deck as a present a while ago, but mine hasn't got any silver accents either...
I haven't used the deck yet though, I've gotten so many new decks lately I haven't had the time to explore all my new decks yet! ;)

I love the Tarot of the Old Path, it was my first deck, from around 3-4 years ago. It really is a beautiful, but very symbolic, deck. In my view (and I have around 30 decks) it is one of the top few decks, suitable for people of any level. Moreover, the deeper you look into the cards, the more you find.
However, as for the silver aspects, well my set does not have it. I also have the book on this deck, and they are also not mentioned there.
I have not heard of another deck either, although, if there is one, please let me know!

Mine has silver on the cards..not a foil silver..but if it catches the light it shines..mine was from a trade..and on the card it is from 1990..Dont know if tht makes a difference.

This is a beautiful deck. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
There is a great review here http://www.tarotpassages.com/oldpath2.htm
of the Major Arcana.
My copy doesn't have silver on it either.
Enjoy....

My Old Path cards are also marked as 1990. I'm not sure if this is when the cards were printed, or if it is just the copyright of the deck?

Thank you all for responding. I feel much better now :)
Ah, Redwood I do admit that I envie you a bit for those few silvery bits on your deck - that is exactly what I red about in the reviews.
Anyway, I look forward to working with this deck: Love the Pagen symbolism and the beauty of the cards..
