DC Comics was supposed to reissue the Vertigo deck in June or July. Did they? If so, how was the quality? And is it still available at retail prices? As I recall, it wasn't a cheap deck to start with, at $30.

Take a good look at it before you decide to buy; some people have trouble reading with it. I own this deck because I liked McKean's art in the Sandman. (I think that's his name; I'm not good with names.) While I'd never trade it, unfortunately I can't read with it. It is one very few "artsy" decks whose majors I just don't like. I do find the minors to be very powerful. That's odd for me; it's usually the other way around when I buy a new deck. The book I got along with it made it sound like this deck's creators put alot of thought into it.

Thanks JC.
My interest in this deck is strictly artistic. I've been reading Vertigo for many years, or rather, used to read Vertigo many years ago, and have recently picked up a few titles again.

There's at least 2 other printings of this deck available--the original which goes for over $100, and the first reprint which you can find on ebay or via comic book shops (it's cheaper via the comic stores). Contact a comic store about which edition they can get, you might be able to get it lower priced than you think.
I don't know if the latest one did come out. Have you tried an online search? www.google.com is a good search engine for this. They get wider results than yahoo or some of the others.

If you're talking June/July 1999, then yes, they have :)
I find the stock the cards are printed on is quite flimsy so I'd suggest you check that out before you buy. This is not a deck you can treat roughly! If you're not reading w/it though I suppose that's not so much of an issue. I think the deck's sold w/the book however, which raises the price.
Dave McKean is correct. You can check out the whole V deck, plus his particle tarot here: http://www.dreamline.nu/
