Oh nooooo !!! I'm out of control! })
This week I picked up 3 more new decks! Fortunately, I did trade off one of my other ones. As I mentioned in the "what decks do you have" thread, this past week I traded my Unicorn Tarot with a coworker who had the Mythic Tarot but ended up not being able to really work with it. The Mythic Tarot came with the book on this deck as well as a very nice spread cloth. I think I got a good deal, but my friend is happy with her new deck and I'm happy with this one. Well, I think I am... ;) Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to work with it yet, but looking forward to it.
Next... I stopped in at a store called "Bookman's" which specializes in used books and that sort of thing. They had the Lover's Tarot - still in the box! So, I scarfed this up using my trade credit (credit from books I'd traded in earlier). This is a Majors only deck and came with a pretty good book. Haven't had much of a chance to try this one out yet either.
And finally ... my Spiral Tarot finally arrived on Friday! So far, I have to say this is a real - WOW - deck! So far, from the little bit of time I've been able to devote to looking it over, I think this deck is going to "speak" to me quite well. Possibly as well as my Röhrig Tarot does. Ms. Steventon seems to have done a superb job of blending images and ideas in these cards. So far I've only done a "new-deck" reading with this deck. Look for this in the "your readings" forum.

I love Bookman's! I traded in most of my old books, and I've had a great time trying to spend $150 worth of credits. I've found a few decks there too, a Morgan-Greer and a Psycards.

Trogan, you are our resident campaigner for the Rohrig! Will we see you now jump ship to the Mythic (which is a really nice deck)?
Hey, well done on the new decks, enjoy!

Hi Trogon,
The Spiral has been my favourite reading deck for quite a while now and I've had quite a few 'wow' moments with it - even now I'm still seeing things on the cards that I've not noticed before, its an honest deck but won't pull its punches - even though the Minors are a little less detailed, they are very easy to read with. This is a deck that gets better with use :)

I like the Spiral deck a lot! I got it early last fall, and sometimes I go for weeks using it exclusively. I find I relate well to the colours and images. The images are soft enough to be evocative and I find the colours induce the proper state of mind.
I trust you will enjoy all your new decks.

Congratulations on your new purchases!
I love Bookmans!I live in So. Cal. but get to Phoenix at least once a year. I travel with a very light suitcase which I fill up at Bookmans! Last time I picked up a just-like-new PoMo ($10) and G. Fairfield's Choice Centered Tarot ($4). Just couldn't connect with the PoMo so I gave it to a friend.
Used bookstores are heaven!

Trogon, which Lover's Tarot do you have? The one by Jane Lyle, or the one by Sharah Bartlett?
I have the Lyle version, and I like it. I wish it was a full deck, though.

Not to worry Happiness... although I'm expanding... the Röhrig Tarot is still my favoritest! :D
The Lover's Tarot which I have is the Jayne Lyle one. Actually, I'd never really heard of this deck before seeing it at the store. I may have glanced over it when perusing the deck listings here at Aeclectic, but probably skipped it when I realized it was a majors only deck. I have yet to try a reading with it though...
I did my "daily pyramid" reading tonight, at the start of my shift, using the Spiral Tarot. It gave me a very interesting, and what turned out to be a very accurate, outlook on the night.
I think I'm actually suffering from a little bit of a Tarot overdose... :D Four new decks this month! I haven't had much of a chance to more than glance at 2 of them! LOL
