Hi Solandia,
Thank you for all your work over the years and for posting this deck..
After seeing it I can see why everyone wants a copy. OK if my earings sell, maybe, just maybe, I'll buy myself a treat..a new deck.
blessings from your taroholic friend,
CJ

I like it. I don't know much about the tarot, but I still like it. It's got nice art, at the very least.

On the other hand, it's published by Llewellyn press, which in my experience has a tendency towards sickeningly commencialized, überly annoying "kewl teen magic" type stuff (the Spell-a-Day Calendar, etc.). Not sure what kind of effect that would have on a tarot deck, though.

This is a Lo Scarabeo title...Llewellyn distributes for the Italian publisher in the U.S.
Just fyi, as the book translation from Italian has a few glitches. Lo Scarabeo is known for some unique art decks, some quite fun or modern, some very distinctively historical.
Best wishes,
Mari H.

Stupid silly amazon say:
on .com that the deck was published in 1969. Uh huh.
on .co.uk that the deck and book set is Not Available and there is a date of March 2003
on .de it doesn't exist
on .fr it does but again only available from March 2003.
Aerin (hopefully searching in Europe for the book still)

In Europe, Alidastore.com receives Lo Scarabeo tarots at least a month faster than anyone else. Argeo at Alidastore.com started carrying Lo Scarabeo art decks 15 years ago when they first started that line. Their command of English is very good and they are fast. I have relied on them for more than three years. They will send you an English edition if you like
Argeo is also a friend of Amerigo Folchi, an artist of commerative tarocchi decks.
Best wishes,
Mari Hoshizaki

I really like this deck. The images are clear and vibrant and there is a niceness to it.
BUT...
Something about this deck reminds me of Playstation games... you know those little funny faced characters and things. I dunno. But that kind of puts me off these cards. I keep expecting Lara Croft or some other such 120 bit person to spring out of them.

...so it might appeal to fans of colorized silkscreen prints, fairy, Japanese anime or modern decks...if you are an old-fashioned centurian or centeur, you might prefer the Minchiate, as centeurs and centurians of the old style engravings are more in that style.

Very nice! I've just taken a look at the Minchiate tarot. I love those images. I am afraid I am a very traditional centaur indeed!

I already have the deck from them BUT I want the book as well, and that set only seems to be available in the US as far as I can tell. Perhaps I need to e-mail them, I've just been website searching so far....

I will be asking directly to LS, wich it's going to be the best way to provide books outside of the Kit Edition. (but I prefer to wait until we have finished the new trade catalogue, to prevent any kind of hasty, unhelpful answer).
One way or another, it will be possible to find the book. :)

Thank you Riccardo :) it is kind of you to answer.
If I have to buy a kit though I will, I'm just so obsessed with the deck (in a good way :))
