I purchased the Medicine Woman Tarot from Barnes and Noble last night and what a wonderful deck. Some of the deck has been renamed to sound more like a Native American deck but the pictures are fairly easy to read. They are very beautiful. It is a nice compliment to my Vision Quest tarot. I bought the book that goes with it and it has alot of information in it. This deck is truly a gem!!! Does anyone have this deck and what are your thoughts on it???

Hi there Momof3girls....
I had this set for a while now. Found it in a shop and reiki energy started flowing out of my hands when i picked it up, so it was a 'must buy'!!
I find it easier to use than my other sets (i.e. i get a better connection), and tend to use it for 'life path' type readings, whereas I use my other main set (cosmic tarot) for standard readings.
I do have a minor niggle in that the pictures are a little simplistic in style but they are a beautiful and useful set to have.
As i do reiki, some of the translations become a bit more energy/spirit-focused than they are meant to be, but my fiance thinks I do better readings with them and she's always happier to sit for a reading when i use them.
For some reason I have difficulty connecting to negative influences when using medicine woman, which I can't help feeling is unbalanced. nOt sure what that's about though.
I hope you have fun with them, they are lovely to use, and they complement the use of other sets very well indeed. Please share how you get on with them, I'd be very interested.

not sure if this will help explain the energies of the deck, but carol bridges (the deck creator) is also a feng shui practisioner and teacher.

Thanks Zorya........I obviously didn't do my research on that one lol. I feel happier knowing that though, cos although i realise i should go with what feels right I don't like abandoning the hard-thought-out descriptions that authors include.
I will use them in a different light now.
