Hi All!
I bought a very old version of the 1JJ Swiss deck the other day, and am wondering how old the deck really is... This deck I have has no date on it, no mention of Stuart Kaplan, or US Games, and is distributed for Waddingtons, made by AG Muller. It opens differently to most decks too, cuz the top half of the box (When horizontal) comes completely away from the bottom half, which is gold.
The cards are also un-laminated, and are a little thicker.
Any ideas if this is an earlier than 1974 printing of the 1JJ Swiss? Was it worth me spending £5 on it?

Hi Kiama,
Is it printed in french? If it doesn't mention Stuart Kaplan then it must be an earlier printing, before he got involved - The box and cards sound similiar to mine but the extra cards to mine do mention Stuart Kaplans book, I have the 1970 re-print. So your deck would have been printed before then, I would say that it is worth more than the £5 you spent on it. :)
Does it say distributed by David Westnedge, Ltd London on the box?

Hi Kiama,
I asked that cause I thought it might help date your deck, I know mine is 21 years old, because thats how long I've had it lol, so yours must be older than that.
Also mine doesn't mention Waddingtons but does mention Stuart Kaplan and US Games Systems Inc but not on the deck only on the two extra cards and the instructions. It is a little bit of a mystery cause on the box they are still produced by AGMuller in Switzerland - it almost looks like all S Kaplan and US Games did was supply the instructions and not the cards :)
