I am going to be off line and in retreat for the next 6 months, so I thought I would use my last post to shamelessly highlight the 418 [amunre] tarot.
The deck itself will not be completed until 2005, and not published until 2006, I have however finished the trumps, and have them displayed at -
http://mysite.freeserve.com/418_TAROT/
Some of the trumps on display here will not be in the finished deck-hanged man, devil, hierophant & perhaps a couple more.
I have completed the suit of cups, ace-ten and have the 10 cups on display. This should give a clue as to the style the pips will take.
Thanks to everybody who has been giving me support on this project :-) & I hope you are all still here in 6 months. Also a big thanks to Solandia.
Ahoy

AmounrA, I shall miss you.
I shall never forget how you helped me unravel my fear of Thoth. I think if you and others hadn't been there for me I would have walked away from tarot again.
I hope you find whatever you seek during your retreat.
I'm off now to re-try the links - I haven't yet been able to get the site to load properly.

6 months is just way to long in not hearing from you!
I got your email about your new email address. Hopefully we can still keep in touch every now and then so I will know you are doing okay!
I adore your cards, always have.
I hope you enjoy your 4 of swords and come back refreshed.

Personally I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Hanged Man and The Devil - also the Hierophant doesn't bother me at all unlike most decks, actually I do like him quite much... Mh... I hope you have even better aces in your sleeves! *drrrrrroooolllssssss*
Thank YOU for all you share here on these boards, and for the beautiful tarot-holic dream you are nurturing! Hopefully we'll all be here in 6 months, so we all will be waiting for you to be back!
I wish you the geatest of times no your retreat! :)
Going back to your tarot deck... I think those are the BEST
- Magician
(YEAH IT IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!)
- Chariot
- Justice
- Moon
EVER!
I just love all the details and the expression of the Magician, the vivid colours, the way you composed and designed the various elements.
And the EYE on the Moon is the HISTORY of the card!
*claps*claps*claps*claps*claps*claps*
Me is a great fan! We have plenty of talented deck creators on these boards, wowie it's an honour!

Absolutely last post, Thanks for the replies. I am shocked.
I have a lease on a cottage until August, in a remote part of my fair Scotland. Its basic...hence I will be off -line totally. [no t.v or phone! i am not even sure about radio because it's in a pretty 'hilly' area]. No distractions, so I can get to work on the disks.
I liked the hanged man, but I don't like the foreground, the hierophant is something where I feel it needs a bit more and the man should have a noose around his neck [thanks jmd;-)], I have already re-drawn the devil, but have not changed the site's vI.
Anyway, I have a busy day tomorrow, so thanks, and see you all again in 6 months [unless i get cabin fever and need a city quick:-)]

Although you probably won't see this message for six months, I just wanted to let you know how much I like your deck, AmounrA. I look forward to seeing the new versions of the cards you mentioned redrawing, and all of the other cards. I must say that I really like the Devil as it is now. It's very interesting how similar it is to the Lovers. I know there is a similiarity in the RWS deck as well, but I think you make it much more powerful in your deck. I am eager to see what your new version will look like.
I hope you enjoy your retreat!

The Tarot is a Pictorial representation of the Forces of Nature as conceived by the Ancients according to a conventional symbolism. [p 25]
[...] Each card is, in a sense, a living being; and its relations with its neighbours are what one might call diplomatic. It is for the student to build these living stones into his living Temple. [pp 47-8] I just thought it fitting to endure AmounrA's absence with a reflection on these quotes from Crowley's The Book of Thoth, in light of the images of 418...
Looking forward to your return :).

Looking forward to your return AmounrA! Enjoy your seclusion (I envy you *LOL*). I look forward to the finished product, and although I wish I did not have to wait until 2006, I am pleased to know that you are taking the time to get it just the way you want it! Look forward to hearing from you when you get back from your "sabbatical"

AmounrA, we haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but I have always valued your posts, and will mis you in the next 6 months.
Your deck is amazing... A really brilliant deck in fact, and I know of many Hermetic magicians who would love this deck when it is finally published.
Enjoy your retreat!
