Some decks are awful for fraying edges, whilst some are excellent. It is not even companies: My TotOP from AGM is heavily used and has never frayed. My Kazanlar also from AGM frayed the first time I shuffled it. Saying that, LS tend to be OK, but my only Rider deck, the Mythic, is not so good.
What are other people's expriences, what decks are good and bad for fraying? Should we refuse to purchase decks that are badly prodcued, and so fray?

Happiness: Only one of my decks has noticeable "blown out" edges, & that is my first Rider-Smith-Waite deck. I attribute that to its age (decades old before it disappeared) & frequency of use rather than the quality of the paper stock, which is sturdy.
Sasha Fenton's Tarot (non-illustrated pips) & The Vertigo are of very thin paper stock; obviously subject to easy damage & would not withstand any enthusiastic handling. I handle & shuffle them very, very carefully.
I suppose one could contact the deck publisher to voice a critique, as I am guessing that economic reasons must influence the materials used in deck publication.

My Sasha Fenton books is soooo out of its binding!
I have never had a deck "fray" on me.
