Gaian Tarot in the works

Found this site recently - http://www.jpc-artworks.com/tarot/index.html - the downside is that there's only 3 cards done of the majors. Love the moon! But it might be a while before it's finished, they were started in 2001.

i love what she's done with the deck so far. you're right about the moon-it is wonderful and original. i like the sun card where the lady in the red dress is dancing. i like it better than the child riding the horse. strength is good, too. should we email her and let her know we're interested in her finishing this one?

You didn't think the desert under the sun was overkill? It sort of put a dark spin on the card for me. I mean, barren landscape, broiling sun--lots of sunburn on the people. If she's only doing a card a year...it'd be about 75 years before she's finished, unless it's a majors only deck, then that breaks it down to about 18 more years. Yeah, maybe we should goad her into getting back into working on the deck! There WERE two other cards posted that were sketches only, I liked the one where he's writing in a journal while listening to the birds around him. But I can only wait so long-- (I WANT the Mary el deck!!!).

I e-mailed the decks creator Joanna Colbert and received a reply yesterday. She says that her goal is to get 1 major card finished per month which would mean that the Major Arcana will be completed by Spring 2004. She hopes to get the whole deck finished in 3 years. Love and light Crystalmynx xx
