Has anyone who ordered the Fey from Amazon.com (US) received them yet? Or inquired about them? If so what was your response?
I just sent Amazon.com a "What's up?" e-mail. I'll post their reply if anyone's interested.
Thank you.
Woof
PS I promised myself I wouldn't order from them because their shipping is slow and I've had customer service problems with them in the past but they're just so cheap! But if I can't get this deck within a month I'm taking my business elsewhere!

Hi, Woof. I have found that Amazon's prices are low for the items, themselves, but shipping rates more than make up the difference. For future reference, there are two US sites I have been very pleased with in terms of efficiency, friendliness and reasonable shipping rates: www.tarotgarden.com (first and foremost), and http://www.astroamerica.com./t-menu.html
These sites (especially Tarot Garden) carry an enormous range of decks and I have never had to wait longer than four days for decks to arrive by US Priority Mail.
There are many decks that can't be had in the US, but are readily available in Europe -- www.alidastore.com has a wonderful selection of decks, and even though the store is in Italy, I have always received decks from them within seven days, at shipping rates comparable with any in the US. Their service is friendly and efficient, as well.
I hope that your Fey arrives very soon, and that you will really enjoy it! :)

Hello Woof,
I am in the same quandry you are in. I have them on order and they list the deck as "Not yet released" I also sent them an e-mail with the information that it WAS released and that their competitors, like Barnes and Noble, are selling them. This is the response I received:
I apologize for any misunderstanding about the delivery estimate for your order. We rely on the publisher for release date information. Our most recent information was that "The Fey Tarot" will be released on March 2003.
Once this item has been released and we receive copies, we will be able to ship it to you. It is not uncommon for there to be a delay of several weeks between the release and distribution of a new publication. I told them that I got a message here from Riccardo Minetti (which is in the Yeah, I got the Fey thread) where he stated that Lo Sarabeo distributes to Llewellyn, who in turn distributes to Amazon, and that perhaps someone sent a fax with a mistaken release date. Amazon wrote back with this response:I apologize for the lack of an estimated delivery date for this order in Your Account. This appears to be due to a technical error. Rest assured that we are processing your order.
I have asked our order specialists to investigate your order further. We will contact you again via e-mail if we discover there is a problem obtaining the item.
When your order is shipped, we will send you an e-mail confirming the date, contents, and method of shipment. I did send an e-mail to Llewellyn on this matter, but I have yet to receive a reply. I will give them a little more time, but I am losing my patience.

Just got return e-mail from Amazon.com. They state now that The Fey is backordered and the supplier has no idea when they'll get more in stock.
I'm cancelling my order from Amazon.com.

Aaargh... mother of darkness....
I've been hoping it would be available on amazon for their usual 30% off of the cover price or at borders or barnes and noble so I could at least get away without paying shipping but it looks like the only way to get this one will be to go through Llewellyn. On the plus side I've had very good experiences with ordering from them before.

I've had some problems recently with .co.uk along the same lines, with the Tiny Universal Waite and also a Buffy book and a how to organise yourself book.
Perhaps they've changed systems. Never used to be like this.

I did see it listed as available through Barnes and Noble, but not at the same price as Amazon...

I ordered it from Tarot Garden. Great service. They have it in stock, took my credit card no. over the phone and will be shipping it out asap.
That is why I prefer doing business with an independently owned store. Service, interest in the customer, etc.
I know it is hard to pass on the discounts from Amazon. I'm a sucker for them too. But I've been burnt so many times by their service (or lack thereof). And I'm afraid someday all stores (here in the US, anyway) will be just huge, unfriendly conglomerates, with limited choices and awful service. I'm really going to try to take my business to small businesses only.
Thank you Tarot Garden!

I have mailed Llewellyn asking to check the status of decks on Amazon, and they aswered me affirmatively. But I suppose it will take a while.

Seems that I may have bugged Amazon enough to check out that the Fey Tarot is available (perhaps by pointing out their competition, B&N, is selling it, and that they are developing quite a bad rep for service lately). I see they have moved the status of my order from "Not Yet Released" to "Shipping Soon" and not allowing me to cancel, which means they must have found it.
I did point out to them that it is a simple thing to check on something like this, and it may keep more customers who are choosing to go to smaller distributors since they care more about adding aparel to their line up than taking care of their customers.
Peace!

Indeed, Amazon just admitted to me, after bugging them persistently to look into it, that a "technical error" caused the Fey Tarot to be listed as unreleased. They are now processing my order, with free shipping and the excellent 30% off, plus offering me a $5 gift certificate, with which I ordered the Ancient Italian deck I wanted and Pollack's Forest of Souls... free shipping once again...wooo hoooo... ~does my own happy dance~
