The Renaissance by Trevisan is a beautiful deck. Just be aware that the Minors don't follow the Golden Dawn (i.e. R-W-S or Thoth) pattern, and, if I recall correctly, the meanings in the LWB don't match the pictures at all. So if you want to use the deck you'll have to come up with completely new meanings for the numered Minors by looking at the cards themselves. Which actually might be a fun thing to do, start from scratch and make up your own Minor meanings from the pictures. The pictures are evocative, so it would be an interesting exercise.

Hi, Kissa! Both of these decks are beautiful and feel very different to me, despite their common theme. The Williams deck is cool, classical and reflective, whereas the Trevisan is dynamic, lush and full of movement and invitation to adventure. The art in each deck is wonderful. If funds allow, I urge you to get both -- and enjoy! :)

ok, i went for the italian Renaissance deck. I'll tell you how i like it when i get it. I just loved the aquarelle art so much and i've wanted an aquarelle deck for so long.. I don't think i'll even try to read with it, just a treat for the eyes!
thanks to both of you for your answers!
