I don't know if it's just me or that I'm cursed *lol* with buying decks that I later don't liike very much.
The artwork of the VQ is lovely, but one complaint is that I do'tlike the white borders very much...
it reminds me of this starter deck that I had years ago...
I'm eying on that Enochian deck, despite it not being a traditional tarot deck.
What say u all? Am I just anut? If so, whack me.

i never took to the enochian. something about it feels very dark and uninviting-at least to me. the VQ is a beauty and remains a favorite. i could use the VQ for almost anyone.

Bbbbbbbrrrrrrrr Enochian... gimme the chillsss *LOL*
Vision Quest is Shamanic Poetry.
Vision Quest is the beat of the sacred Earth drum!
Vision Quest rocks me everytime I touch it, the artowork is magnificent and the LWB a masterpiece. The borders don't bother me at all. Actually I quite like the blurry effect of projecting the viewer into the card - it feel it as a window from behind which I am observing a preserved, sacred environment of pure spiritual search. And sometimes I jump out of that window!

HairyMonster, how have you been!
I have to say, I too love the Vision Quest deck. I use it quite often, and have a great vibe with it. I will add, that I wish it didn't have the border. I definitely like decks better without a border.

maybe I should give the deck a chance. :P
probably the reason why I'm eyeing the Enochian is 'coz it's rare. Haha...but then, I soooooo LOVE the artwork of the Analytical Tarot....it's a self-published deck. If anyone has THAT deck, it'll be an instant trade! lol...

Forget the borders and listen to what the reading tells you.
The Vision Quest is a gift from the heavens.

The Vision Quest is one on the top of my wish list. Perhaps one of these days I will get it. :) Dakini

I love the Vision Quest deck. It's really great, in my humble
opinion. I really seem to have made a connection with it !!!!!

I am just starting to use reversals. I think you can use reversals with any deck you want to. As long as the ones without reversable backs don't distract you, why not?
BTW I love this deck also. It is beautiful and so is my connection with it.

i love my vision quest deck. i don't use reversals any more 'cuz the cards just seem to tell me what i need to know without'em!:)
the vq seems to know just what's in my soul, so i almost never ask it quetions, either. but, boy does it give answers!:)

The Vision quest Tarot is on it's way to my home. Seeing the pictures online, I did wonder if the white border would bother me. I don't think it will.

I got a used copy just to look at it, didn't really think I'd like it. But as soon as I opened it, it called to me. I've put it in my purse and I take it everywhere. It's so friendly, and wise!
Anyway, the reason I quoted Phoenixmoon is because I had an immediate feeling when I first shuffled this deck that I did not need to reverse any of the cards. I always use reversals with other decks.
This deck has a lot of good energy to it, and it communicates well. ;)

I love this deck and am glad to see others do too. The artwork is beautiful and, as Joan says in the post above, the cards are beautiful and wise. Mitsuki, I posted on this elsewhere, but haven't time to search for it properly right now, but I have found this deck to be a bit 'reversal-resistant' in readings. I've found this with the Rohrig too, and I wonder if it's because both decks are essentially Thoth clones. I don't know an awful lot about the Thoth deck, but it seems to me that it lends itself more to elemental dignities etc. rather than to reversals. Maybe it's to do with the keywords printed along the bottom, but they seem to me to be cards that just won't turn upside down!
