Hi All,

I would like to know if anyone know/has the interpretions for erotic tarot decks?

Did your erotic deck come with the interpretions?
Does anyone know where I can find any websites with such info?

Or even sex magick tarot interpretions?

Thanks in advance

Hi Moonman,

I own the Manara tarot and it came with a little white book that did not refer to the erotic pictures at all, it just had the standard meanings of the cards which iI thought was funny.
But then I can't use this deck for readings or anything at all, I just see it as a funny deck for my collection.

I own the book Tarot & Magic by D.M. Kraig, he has one chapter on sex magick. I haven't read it yet but just skimming through it...it looks very readable and he also has a list of sexual positions for every major arcana.
In his bibliography he mentions The Sexual Key to the Tarot by Laurence Theodor - never heard of it but you might want to check it out.
And Kraig himself wrote Modern Sex Magick, but I don't know if he mentions tarot as well.
Happy searching :)

There is a deck called Tarot Sutra by Patricia Canova which comes with a book. You can read reviews here.

I just got Tarot Erotica the other day. It came w/lwb(not white really). Meanings somehwhat go with the cards, very strange meanings listed, unlike no other I've read.

I have a little paperback book entitled 'The Sexual Key to the Tarot', which gives the standard set of meanings to RWS-style cards, except that everything has to do with orgasms or lovers or 'coitions' in some way. I wish I could recall the author's name.. I think it's Theodore Lawrence, but I'm sure with the title you could scare it up on eBay or Amazon.
It's an amusing book, in a very serious post-Victorian sort of way. :D

Yes that is the book Kraig mentions, so he probably used that for the meanings of the major arcana cards in Tarot & Magic.
Now I have an idea what you mean :D

Actually thinking about it, what better way to spend a nice night in with your partner than to grab an erotic Tarot deck, and let the cards tell you HOW you're gonna spend the night! })

Attaching erotic meanings to the cards would be interesting... Maybe the erotic meanings could be based on the traditional meanings in some way? Goodness knows what the 8 of Swords' erotic meaning would be... })

Or for that matter, The Hanged Man.
