Healing Earth Tarot Questions

Hi I'm new to reading and I have the Healing Earth Tarot deck, question is as to whether there is any significance if cards are reversed. Doesn't say anything in the book about it, should I assume the should all be right side up when I place them. Anyone have an suggestions?

There have been several discussions here about whether or not to use Reversals (i.e. read the cards differently if they are reversed). If you do a "search" you will find several good threads. It's really a matter of personal opinion and preference. Personally, I couldn't read without reversals. I find them very significant, but others will give a different viewpoint, which I'm sure is equally valid. There is a very good book by Mary Greer called Tarot Reversals. It's really the best reference for this whole (rather complex) aspect of reading. Good luck! Karen

Some decks are meant to be read only upright. The LWB will either clue you in or if there's a paperback book on the deck that one will tell you. Depends on the deck's artist/designer, if it's a RW clone it'll be likely read with reversals, but some original decks are only meant to be read upright. Artist's choice.

hi, and welcome! well, with the 104 cards and non-reversable back design of this particular deck, i did not bother with reversals. but that was back when i swore i would NEVER do reversals... however, that's not to say "never" should be your rule; i'm guessing that you're braver and smarter than me! it's just that there's so much to the "Healing Earth Tarot", i'd fear for your sanity--that deck drove me crazy! karen's mention of m. k. greer's book is an excellent idea. the concepts there are adaptable to any tarot deck. it took me three years before i finally ventured forth into reversals. i stopped saying "never" to reading reversals after i felt very solid with the basic card meanings. from my personal experience with this deck, as well as having become a reversals "convert", that's what i suggest: get really confident with the upright meanings, then go into reversals when you feel ready. :)
