Hey happy owners of this charming deck,
have you noticed this mistake on the World card: the number (left upper corner) is ... XIII on my copy!!!!!!
Fortunately the big number on the bottom of the card is XXI.
Kissa
PS : do you netties allow me to be the pain in LS's a** and wrote them about it ? ;-)

Yes, I noticed that too. I also wonder if the 5 of swords isn't supposed to be the 7 of swords...

Kissa, I didn't even notice that until you began this thread, but yes, mine is the same way! Maybe LS will reprint the deck someday and we will all have a collector's item. ;)
Firemaiden, that was my thought exactly about the V and VII of Swords -- the images seem to be reversed.

Aha! so how do we read with it then? Do we go with the image? or the number?
This is one reason why I don't try to read with this deck anymore, as much as I love it. It's sort of too confusing... I think there are other cards like that...

Firemaiden, this deck is one of my favorites from the standpoint of beauty, but I don't read with it much because the meanings and images are just so far from my own take on them -- but if I DID, I would go with the image instead of the number. I guess the reason is that, for me, images are more important as "engines" of intuition than numbers.
I have the same meaning/image dilemma with many Lo Scarabeo decks, but I keep buying them because a) I'm a tarotholic and b) LS artwork is just so beautiful!

I have only had this deck about 4 weeks now. Unfortunately I have not had the time to work with it at all. This was my first LS deck (now I have two LS decks) and I love the softness of the colors used. I'm really really hoping I will be able to read with this deck because I have wanted it for so long and now that I have it I love it. I think the "mis-print" on the one card makes this deck more interesting.

Bings, this is a gorgeous deck and I'll bet that you will be able to read with it just fine, because you connect with it so well already. With literally hundreds of decks available, it is not surprising that some folks will gravitate/feel indifferent toward/dislike particular decks. I love Lo Scarabeo and will continue to buy their tarots because they are beautiful and becoming easier to relate to. I hope that you will enjoy reading with the Renaissance. Its colors are luscious, the illustrations are beautiful, and the numbering is interesting.
