Hi all .... I was wondering what other Lo Scarabeo and U.S. Games decks are on the horizon (besides the ones I already know about)?
The ones I already know about from a well-known vendor site are the following:
Lo Scarabeo (a lot of them): Leonardo Da Vinci Tarot, an Etteilla II deck, Spirit of Flowers, Tarot of Mermaids, Tarot of the New Vision, Vikings, Bruegel, Teen Witches, Animal Lords, Gothic Tarot of Vampires,
US Games: New Century Tarot, Radiant Rider-Waite tarot.

Don't forget about Kat Black's "Golden Tarot"! Here on Aeclectic, I believe in the thread on the deck, Kat had mentioned a target release date of October 2003? The information hasn't hit the catalogs that are sent out to the dealers, but I assume that Kat knows how things are progressing on the publication of her deck. Here's a link to the thread, if you haven't already reviewed it and want more information:

You can keep checking our website upcoming releases page for more information. As soon as such information becomes available to the resellers, we put it up on our website ASAP.

Riccardo mentioned in 2004 there might be a reproduction of a D'Este tarot from a that actually was misnamed Charles VI, from an unnamed Ferrerese artist. I'd have to search for the thread.
It seems like Autumn through October/December and early Spring is when many new titles come out...so starting in the summer, we might get more information.
It's fun to check out Amazon.com UK or U.S. and look under 'tarot' and then sort by date. Anything coming within the next few months that is in their database will yield new titles.
Happy hunting.

Spirit of Flowers, Leonardo, Vikings and the Grand Etteilla (Patterned after the Jeu Des Dames French version) are all on Alidastore.com now...from L.S.
We're still awaiting Mermaids and I'm curious about New Vision from L.S.
I'll be checking Tarotgarden.com from the U.S. side.

My turn to confess--Leonardo and Spirit of Flowers. While no one initially talked about the Spirit of Flowers, the scans impressed me for different sentimental reasons. And so, here's to summer tarots and new tarot-tales to tell :).

I heard a rumour about The Redneck Tarot.
Its a 78 card deck that comes complete with rusty appliances on the lawn and dogs hiding under the mobile home porch.

divinerguy ... I don't know if this is the one you had in mind, but in a proposed Redneck Tarot deck (link below), the Empress is called the Trailer Queen.

I've received confirmation from Riccardo that the newest LS releases (Spirit of Flowers, Book of Thoth, Leonardo da Vinci, and Vikings decks) will be shipped from Italy to the North American distributors next week. Furthermore, the N.A. distributor (Llewellyn Worldwide) has confirmed that the reseller preorder discounts remain in effect, despite the earlier-than-announced release of these four titles.
As a result, we expect to receive them at Tarot Garden at the end of June, at which time we will immediately fulfill all of our pending preorders. And, thanks to the retention of the preorder discount period, we can continue to offer the 20% preorder discount to anyone who requests it, through 27 June 2003.
For more information on these and other upcoming releases, folks are welcome to visit our Upcoming Releases page. Any questions can be directed to me personally at my Tarot Garden address (jkr@tarotgarden.com) or via the Aeclectic PM system.

Heard a rumor about a pocket sized Tarot Art Nouveau (Castelli) coming out. Any truth to it?

The Book of Thoth is directly derived from the tarot Egyptien or Grand Jeu de Oracle des Dames, Grand Etteilla III pattern, I believe it is called. My French reproduction has the Julia Orsini text, the Lo Scarabeo version has the booklet with 14 pages in English, Italian, Spanish, French and it looks like German to me. Lo Scarabeo's version has divinatory meanings by Roderico Tebani and introduction by Giordano Berti. Their descriptions are simpler and I think I might be able to understand how to do a reading with them. I'm still figuring out the French one. My French Jeu des Dames reproduction has more spreads and odd to my modern eyes correspondences in their description---the fortune-telling aspect is that certain cards surrounding or accompanying the card being described will signify something more specific---for instance, it might pertain to your spouse or business associate.
Spirit of Flowers is very very pretty. A gentle reading with floral assignments and childish sprites.
My heart and humor belongs to the Leonardo at the moment, as the illustrated minors include some of my favorite Leonardo paintings assigned in interesting ways. The perfect proportional man is the Ace of Pentacles, the Woman with Ermine is Queen of Wands and the subdued tints make me think I am looking at actual sketchbook reproductions.

Yes, the mini Art Nouveau will be 78 cards.
Yes, Lo Scarabeo has a catalogue.
You can ask for it directly in Lo Scarabeo: info@loscarabeo.com
And... (miracle) we are placing it online on the website soon!
(but until it will be there I will never believe it) :D
