AmounrA, finally back from hibernating up in those little hills and lochs of Scotland, is not only discussing and asking for feedback of his deck on its way to completion (in the thread: Feedback Loop (A.R.T)), but has also expanded his site... with now links to the minors.

For those of us who have seen this deck from its earlier stage, its name, up till now veiled in the chrysalis of 418, has finally been blessed with its name come forth by the light of day: Amoun Re Tarot...

Earlier threads which discussed this deck include the thread '418 Tarot' from late 2001.

Actually, the Tarot Deck Creation Forum is one I rarely visit, and was so wonderfully delighted at perusing through threads of this community I just don't often opportune myself to see!

I have only had a look at the majors.
I like this deck, so bright and colourful. The Fool is gorgeous. Other favourites of mine are Strength, the Magus and the Hermit.
I don't have the cultural background to understand all the references like the blind-folded man on the hierophant card (forgotten how he calls it sorry), he says something about the great architect but I would still need some more background information to get it.
I will have to read the other threads as well (running out of time now)

I just love what I've seen of this deck and will definitely be in line to purchase it when it becomes available.

first of all my eyes went big and i said "****" then i laughed,

i think it is the position that makes it for me more graphic then any other card i seen (note i don't have any of the erotic tarot )

i understand they are not ashamed of their bodies, that they laying on the stone tables represents a marriage of bodies, a ritual giving to each other without nothing to hide.

the orginal lovers in the marsielles was about choices , choice to leave the house of the mother and move on to life, and meeting our mates.

and waite took away the choice aspects and emphasized the lovers aspects which is true a choice has to made when we give not only of our bodies but of our true self.

so taking the orgy feeling of my mind, i see they can be seen as giving of themselves truely for they are not having sex but laying there next to each other content to be in each other hands.

yet there is more of a ritualistc feel for he is holding a sword is he to stab her next or to offer their bloods as blood lovers , one and the same to that hole ?

either way a power imagery on the lovers.

plus all the others cards are powerful imagery as well. :O)

i like the emperor eyes they look like (what am i doing here ) eheh which is what lots of leaders ask themselves before dealing with a situation.

Very nice I loved the colors, very vibrant and althoughth there is much detail in each card I never thought of them as being busy. It's very close to the Thoth deck which is interesting because most home made decks seem to follow the Waite clone scheme of things. It would probably great for people who work with the Thoth.
