Anyone have any info on the 'Papa Spiritual Tarot'?

About a year ago, I purchased the 'Papa Spiritual Tarot' from a New Age store in Bournemouth. At least, I think it's called 'Papa Spiritual Tarot': I'm not entirely sure... 'Papa' is written in a different front to 'Spiritual Tarot', and it is above the term, so I think it could also be something else... At the bottom there is 'Dione', which could be the creator's name, but then on the back is a sticker coyrighting the deck to Marie-Claire Wilson, 1993. So 'Dione' coudl be the publisher... or 'Papa' could... But either way, somewhere in the title of this deck is 'Spiritual Tarot'. It is Major Arcana only, with quite bad artwork... I know it's OOP, but does anyone have any info on it's background? Is there a book to go with it? How many copies were produced? What was the creator's purpose...? Aims...? Does anyone else have this deck? Kiama

The Spiritual Tarot is the later incarnation of the PAPA Spiritual Tarot. The original PAPA deck was published in Greek, English, and French editions, boxed and without the softcover book. The Spiritual Tarot book includes the cards in, as I recall, an envelope inside the cover. Same deck, different packaging. The earlier version is OOP, of course, but I believe (and I guess spoonbender's link confirms) that the newer edition is still available. I've only briefly glanced at the envelope-housed version, but as far as I remember, the cards are exactly the same. I have the earlier version of the PAPA, but my reactions to the artwork were the same as yours, Kiama -- so it's been shelved in my collection and pretty much left alone. -- Jeannette http://www.tarotgarden.com
