hi again!
i've also purchaised the "Tarot Art Nouveau".
a lot of people have said that the images don't go with the meanings of the cards, but reading through the booklet i have found that almost all of the meanings are the same or are variations on the meanings i already know of the cards. on ocasion one card or another is chainged but i gues that's just the artists own interpretation. i finde that the meanings chainge more on the Fantastical Tarot (eg).
could it be an english school vs. french school thing?
dus anybody have it?
are they happy?
do they use it?
what do you think?

i have both the tarot art nouveau and the art nouveau tarot. i like both of them but the matt myers deck reads better for me. the other is a lo scarebeo concoction and i generally have difficulty reading those. i do love the art on both for different reasons.
perhaps it's not an english vs french school thing but just people having unique preferences when it comes to anything-decks included.

thanks truthsayer,
i was refering to the lo scarebeo. i guess you're probably right about the school thing.
i've seen pictures of the other deck. i also want to get that one. and i'm sure it must be easier to read.

i finde the lo scarebeo tarot art nouveau has a more continental style of art nouveau and the artnouveau tarot has a more english feal to it. it's a little more riged, but still very beuatiful.
am i right?

Where do we find the meanings for the cards according the French tradition?
I have the Lo Scarabeo Art Nouveau deck (= Primavera Tarot); bought it for its beauty. Love the subtlety. I find it difficult sometimes to understand how the image relates to the meaning of the card. But often with a bit of deep pondering, that relationship reveals itself.
Here is a link to my thread on this deck: Lo Scarabeo Primavera Tarot

sorry for misleading. i don't think french school exists. but a continental tarot. i downloaded and printed out a tun of stuff from tarot.com some time ago. i still havn't finnished reading it, but it's verry interesting. i read Payne-Towler's definitions of the cards which i endid up prefering. they're similar to the rider definitions but more subtle, and sertain cards chainge. 2 :SL 2 :WL etc...
you can check out tarot.com in the about tarot section in the librarys.

but i knoticed that the subtlety allows for more streching of interpritation, which i felt i was able to do with the lo scarabeo art nouveau.
tell me if it helps.

i love the deck. the only thing that bothers me is the translations in red. if they erased those i think it would be just terif.
