Indeed I am, I have been looking for a gay (male - male) themed deck for ages. I mean it is not totally necessary I can still read 'straight' deck perfectly well, but I would really like to have a deck I can really relate to on 'that' level, seeing as how so many of my reading focus on homosexual relationships, or the prospects of one ;), what can I say, I can't help myself.
Or maybe I just don't want to be thinking "EW Lovers Card! Icky Breasts ugh!" when I'm reading :P
Ben ~ Tongue in cheek, has nothing (much) against breasts.

Well the cosmic tribe tarot comes with three versions of the lovers card. The two female version, two man version and a man and female version. You can pick the one you like. Maybe that will work for you?

I think the cosmic tribe deck is a bit too 'busy' for me if you know what I mean... there is far too much happening in each of the cards for me to even work out which card is which never mind what they mean.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I will still bear it in mind.
Ben ~ Could only recognise the star.

Well...
When we started out on our deck we also began working with a friend (a Russian photographer in Prague) who very much wants to do a deck with a "transformational" attitude to gender. However, she has been unwell so is now only able to work very slowly. She is taking the photos and when the time comes we will do the artwork and get the deck ready for print.
So far we have a few photographs that she has taken - "The Lovers" is based on a good friend of hers who works as a drag queen in Paris (he is beautiful and it could be a great card). The photos are interesting and sensitive - though very uncompromising. Now she has gone to Moscow where she will photograph circus people (who she also knows well).
So - one day this will all become a deck, and a very worthwhile one, but because she has to take care of her health it may literally take years.
I'm not sure if this helps in any way - but thought I'd reply anyway in the hope that at least it's of interest to know that a project like this is being done.
Best wishes,
Karen

I fear there's no (male) gay-themed deck.
YET. *LOL*
Anyway you could give a try to:
- Tarot of the Stars
- Stairs of Gold
- Aquarian (very 70s/Nouveau, I see it quite Drag-like LOL)
- Adrian (still bo*ies but yet...)
- a nice marseille... ;) *LOL*

The Quest Tarot is pretty Androgynous that may work.

the tarot de paris uses a lot of male statues and as a deck feels very masculine.
i agree with the quest being a good possibility.

Thanks for all your help guys, I'll look into your reccomendations. And who knows maybe when I'm a bit more learned I shall make my own... Oh the possibilities, although I don't think I'll let my mother see that one :p
Ben ~ The Page of Wands! Oh my, Oh my!

The World Spirit. The lovers card in this deck is very androgynous, you really can`t tell whether they are men, women or a man and a woman. One of them is dark skinned and one of them is fair, it`s definately my favorite lovers card. Temperence is a very camp looking blue angel *lol*, check out the scans HERE

Just stumbled over this thread.
I am soooooooooooooo surprised that no tarot artists have made a primarily gay deck. So many times, I have read posts from people looking for one. Whoever knocks up the first will make a fortune (rubs chin and ponders wads of cash falling through the letter box).
As much as there are some fantastic decks out there, it can get a bit dull to see yet another take of the same; I can also relate to not finding a deck that is 'mine' or has my values, sexuality and personality wrapped up in it. I have the Adrian deck and I never use it. There could have been some scope here for something great but after a year or so of kidding myself that it wasn't that bad, it doesn't really speak to me that much. Some of the images are beautiful but I keep it for those reasons only and not as a reading deck. I can understand how it can make some readers or querants feel excluded.
I also have the Cosmic Tribe. I prefer this one to the Adrian but I understand what you mean about the busyness of it.
Who would make a great deck; *thinks again*. Pierre et Gilles would be interesting - not much to leave to the imagination there!
Anybody else have any ideas? Any body else started a 'gay' deck for men or women. I am in the process of making one as part of a fashion brief so when I get to the lovers ... well, we'll have to see. Then again, why leave it at just the lovers!
Best wishes and good luck with your search.

Every Gay Man should own the Light and Shadow Tarot by Michael Goepperd, "May he rest in peace." and Brian Williams, Although not really a "Gay" tarot some images would suggest "a gay Old time." Such as 10 of Wands, 2 of Penetecles, 2 of Cups, looksa like two women, and 3 of cups looks like three bald DragQueen. I Must say I love this deck, although I do not read with them. They are Huge, and more for collectors.

If you are looking for a "Male Orientated deck, check out Miss Cleo's Power Tarot. "They are selling dirt cheap on e-bay. Anyway most of the images are male orientated as I have stated. The colors are bold and a bit dull, but it is mostly a male decl.

that's so weird, I was just going to post here yesterday, but clicked "watch thread" instead so I could go to bed cuz I couldn't stay awake any longer... I was going to recommend the Light and Shadow deck!
This is the first deck I really got used to reading with... and it is actually a great reading deck. I love the energy from it - I feel it is a very balanced deck, compared to others that are decidedly feminine or masculine... and, I believe this was mentioned, the artist is a gay man. The cards don't stand up and shout, "Look at me, I'm gay" (I don't know if that was what you were looking for *wink*), but I do feel that they are - I guess sympathetic would be the word. Maybe you will want to look around for something more overt, but you should still definitely get this deck... it is available through Amazon and not too much money... it is just the loveliest deck. There are some images I would even describe as lovingly erotic... definitely check it out.

I looked at some of the samples and loved them. I didn't connect to what some see as a masculine or gay deck. I just loved it and ordered it from Amazon. I don't have a black and white deck and think this one seems so powerful. There are a lot of good reviews.
Best wishes

Voodoo_Shaman: The links generated by "QuickSearches" on our website use form variables, so the necessary information to recreate the search is not correctly embedded in the link. I think this is the link you need to get the list you were hoping to generate:
http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/dbsearchengine.php?view_category=gay
For general informational purposes: it is incorrect to say that no tarot decks have been specifically created with a "gay male" theme. If you click the link above, you'll see that there's been at least two: The Gay Male Tarot, and The Uraniun. Unfortunately, both are extremely difficult to come by, although I know there's at least one other person on these forums that has mentioned owning a copy of the Uraniun (tarotbear, maybe?).

Oh Dear. Not sure that that was what I was looking for. Think I'll stick to the comfort of the Rider waite LOL
Dread to think what I would advise a querant if the 'Lord of Air of Fire' came up as an outcome.
Thanks for the link, however, Jeanette/Lori. I really didn't think a gay deck was around; its just a shame that the result is something so extreme. I am no prude, believe me, but it is a shame that it isn't a bit more sensitive.
Any other opinions.
Best wishes

'Fraid not. I tried calling USG today to get an update on the release date, but everyone who might have had any info (that I knew) was out-of-the-office today. When I talk to them next week, however (they're usually very good about returning calls), I'll ask if it would be possible to get some better publicity pictures of the deck.
