For those tarotholics in the US who are scoping out resources to buy decks: try www.overstock.com. I just did a search for tarot and found, among other things, the Shining Tribe for $19.99 and the Cosmic Tribe for under $19.
Mind you, not all of the prices are the best you can get, but it is a source to look at to comparison shop when looking for that special deck you just HAVE to have.

Thank you for that link, Khatruman! As a tarotholic, I love adding to my list of resources so that I'll be ready when that familiar itch comes upon me! :)

Hmm, 207 entries for the word Tarot.
A Haindl deck for $7.69, two volumes of the Encyclopedia of Tarot ($1.50 shipping), some good deals there.

Hey Kathruman still boasting about your US contacts? :| *LOL*
Why is postage from US to elsewhere in the world sucha pain? *sigh* :(
I also think Powells (or something like that) has great offers sometimes... like the legendary Rohrig give-away...

Yeah! Last year the post office dropped one of it's classifications on their overseas mail, so now we basically pay letter rate per ounce on any boxes or packages going over there. Bites bigtime! What used to be $4 costs $18-$27 depending on which country you're shipping it to!
The ONLY way around it that I've been able to find (and did use once) is to have the person find someone stationed over there that's in the US Military, and have the package sent to them via the EPO (IPO?) that they have, and have the person pick it up from them. This way it's just the normal cost of sending it around the US that you pay. I sent something to Russia that was under 2 pounds and it cost $18, if it was 2 ounces OVER it would have cost me $37!. Sheesh! And they were cheaper than UPS too.... I should have checked Fed Ex.

And when it arrived, the person with whom I traded told me that it was severely bent, which must have happened either through excessive heat, being crushed under weight, or a combo of both. Plus, I am still waiting on the package to me, which, judging from my last trade just to Canada, I will be lucky to get by 2004.

I gave up on padded envelopes for decks. They all go out in cardboard boxes now. I use crushed newspapers around them, but always put in the comic sections, you wouldn't believe the number of people who emailed back that they read the comics too. ;) I figured why use the want ads when you can use something more fun?
