I was browsing tarot decks at amazon.com I think, when I noticed a brand new reprint of this deck, Hallowquest ( by Caitlin Mathews). The original had gone out of print, at least for awhile I think. It had been published by Thorsons. The new one has a different publisher, and a totally different picture on the package cover. But I believe it is the same deck/set.
Has anyone purchased the new set? I am curious how it compares to the old one in quality, and if it is the exact same thing? Also, it is quite a bit cheaper in price than old one. I don't own either one.........................yet. But I love Arthurian stuff and it's long been on my wish list. Also curious if book in new set is same as old.

I never had the old one but I do own the new set. The book is exactly the same, the cards are of superior quality with slick laminate and good cardstock. It also comes with a small hardcover journal which has blank pages, and a slipcase of very durable quality.
Quality is the word here. I am collaging in the journal too which is fun. It's one of my favourite decks, and part of my joy lies in the......QUALITY.
