I got my Jolanda (Swedish Witch Tarot) a few weeks back, but business matters have kept me from exploring with my recently acquired decks.
Well, I tried a relationship reading last night. I did a 3 card spread on a stranger, a single woman who is not currently in a relationship.
I drew the Queen and Prince of Wands, both reversed, and the Death card. The reading semed to flow quite naturally, and was quite comfortable.
This deck is tres-cool, because it seems to be user friendly. I say this because the images help trigger associations in a non-threatening manner, without being too sweet.
There is enough symbology present to read these cards on an intuitional level. I don't think I'll outgrow this deck anytime soon.
Now, all I need do is learn Swedish - that's the difficult part

That's awesome, congratulations! Sounds like you found your deck! This is the kind of understanding that I have with my faerie deck, they speak loads and loads of info to me where I can pull out so much information for people in their readings. It's awesome. I hope it keeps speaking to you and doing great readings for you!

I also love this deck. I liked it the first time I saw it and I still do. It is not too sweet, but it has a sense of humour and a lot of original and funny details on the cards. I find it very easy to read with this deck.
And about the Swedish - Jema has translated the keywords on the cards, I think it is in a separate thread.

I think the Tower card is cool, but might be a bit alarming:-)
The Death card is wonderful; those fish look so surprised, and Death seems to have a slight smile as though thinking "Ya, I get that a lot." While non-threatening, it speaks to me about being prepared, as though asking whether I'm like the fish- wearing my crown and gaping in surprise that Death showed up- or whether I've done my "Hermit" and "Hanged Man" work (speaking of which, those are great cards in this deck too) and am at least somewhat resigned to things ending whether I wish them to or not.
The deck is, as you say, full of symbology, much of it fresh in it's slant and able to trigger unique associations. It is inviting and even fun, but not treacly. I'm still using it a lot and have only grown fonder of it. Glad you got a chance to read with it.

yes, I also enjoy this deck a lot!! It's somehow similiar to the Parrott-Deck I have just received from Tarotgarden. Lot's of tiny details and friendly symbology but not too whimsical...

I bought this deck recently (thank you, Faunabay!) and it's becoming one of my favorites. It features strong, beautifully rendered imagery that's whimsical without being sappy. The card stock and coating are great for shuffling and the size is nice. It is apparent that a great deal of care went into the design and manufacture of this deck. The colors are subdued, but give a lively feeling at the same time. In terms of symbolism, the illustrations are as deep or as light as they need to be, given the circumstances of particular readings.
