Well, it finally arrived this morning and I greedily tore open the package. I had been looking forward to the deck for so long!
And as I looked through the deck a little bit of disappointment started welling in me.
The images here are truly stunning

..... but they are pretty much the best of them.
You can see the entire deck here

There is 'something' indefinable and graphically not right with a few of them that does not bear up to close inspection and I feel a little sad as it has spoilt the deck a bit for me:(
As an Illustrator, I notice things and artistically they grate on my nerves, LOL.
Basically in few of the cards his mixture of old image and digital enhancements and add ons is quite appauling, to my eye.

Ah yes I remember this deck, it has a Moon card I really like with that big bat above it.
I'm sorry you are disappointed allibee - because I think it is not a cheap deck - that was what stopped me from buying it anyway.
I like the "old" look of the deck. Could you give an example of where you find old and new clash ? Or is it in general in all the cards ?
I think I can see what you mean though. I never thought I would like photo/"computerized" decks, but I found I do like the Sacred Circle and Timeless Truth - but they don't have that problem, as they don't try to look old and authentic.
Well maybe the deck will still grow on you...

It certainly is a neat-looking deck, alibee. I'm not an artist, so I generally respond at some sort of other level to cards (not sure exactly what!)
I like Russian culture and language, so it's the sort of deck I would probably want...sounds like it's expensive, though. I love the names in Russian at the bottom of each card.
Maybe it will "grow" on you?
P.S. WolfSpirit -- I see what you mean about the Moon!

The Moon, yup, that's the one I hate, LOL.... closely followed by Judgment!
They look good until you look closely. Some of the graphics have been added on really badly, the edges of them awful, and some of the main pictures must be third or forth hand, judging by how blurred they are.
The World and Strength are incredible. They are my favourites :O)
Just wish he hadn't used the 'spotlight' button so much on the others.
Rant over, LOL

The Moon is the card I hate too, the columns and the bat look awful and the roman numeral isn't the same font as the rest of the cards.
On most cards, though, the added-on graphics don't bother me that much, and on the whole I really like this deck.

I like the moon card (cept for the different font, but I just said the moon made the font look different lol) But had to get over the high priestess! The way the camera lens flare points out how the woman was cut out really irritated me, but I made myself get over it. On the whole I really like the deck also.
There was something else that bothered me though... King of Swords I think it was... the handle of the sword is see-through, you can see the man's hand through the handle. Had to get over the fool card also. His hat took the cake, looked like it was done with an undisciplined hand, but maybe that was the point (I told myself that lol).
I would have been really pissed off if I would have paid $50-$100 for the deck especially because of the way I shuffle. The cards show the bending indents VERY easily (around where I lay my thumbs), and this is the only deck out of the almost 30 I have that is so dang sensitive.
But seriously I do really like this deck, I use it all the time... In shaded areas.
