My old RWS deck is one that has a plaid back and no coating on the cards at all but the card samples at Barnes and Nobles of the RWS with the plaid back have coated cards. I really want to get another of the uncoated decks as I long ago used colored pencils to add more vivid colors to mine. Some of the cards came out well but some did not and I would like to re-do them.
Does anyone know if the uncoated RWS is still available?
thank you,
Myrrha

If you can't find an uncoated RWS deck, you might try the B.O.T.A. tarot deck, it is uncoated and completely uncolored, and follows RWS closely, at least as far as the Major Arcana go; the Minors in this deck are pips. It is specifically designed for coloring.
